Phew, was so busy at the NATAS fair, so crazy lor, so many people and becoz MC was the main sponsor, there was $1 rebate for adminssion, and because they were automatic enrolled for the Oversea Reward, so we MC promotors had to ask the customers 1 by 1 for their phone numbers and write it on a card size paper, so that they could pass it to the cashiers, very very stupid and waste of paper lah! shld just give them a form to write when they purchased the tix mah! Many people tot they must have the paper to get $1 off tix admission, coz ont the paper was printed "$1 admission ticket", very misleading lor. The paper was meant for the cashiers and they surely knew what the number on the was meant for, don't get it why they bother to waste ink and print that line.
I was responsible for this redemption card thingy, and because the flyer printed first 600 (to redeem the card) would receive the a goodie bag, but it was not stated properly that only certain bank customers (4 banks partcipated) would be entitled to it, hence, the query of the day was, "How to get this goodie bag har?"
And to redeem this card was such a lengthy process, and 2 of these banks did not publicize at all lor, so the other question of the day "How to redeem this card har?" then I need to spend 10 mins explaining the process.
Luckily, I had 2 chio bus to work with me and so many queries were directed to them coz I am such a plain Jane that it's no wonder many don't see me... Poor thing la they, coz I am suppose to be the customer enquiry, but as we all know, Singaporeans don't read signboards one lah!
Was fun to work at the NATAS coz firstly the chio bus were fun to be, secondly, we had fun time jokeing about customers who tried to tackle them, thirdly, we had friendly neighbours (the 2 bank booths whose customers knew about the redemption thing). The only guy among our redemption booths tried to tackle one of my partner chio bu, and his colleagues and us had fun poking fun at him! Wah ha ha ha. This chio bu very hot in demand lor, one travel agency promotor also had looked at her the whole day, and then got the chance to talk to her (tackle her) when she was on her way to toilet. BUt she taichi away by asking if he wanted to work part time (he did some self intro and we got to know he was doin g temp and waiting to go uni) and he played along, funny leh!
But very shagged lah, slept less than 5 hrs per day. And when I tot I could sleep more on Monday, I was woken by a phone call at 8.30am! To go to work somemore! No interview, no pre-screening! It was a temp job at a kindergarden, and before I could get to know and make friends with the teachers, I was making friends with Mr. Dettol, coz I was washing the toys, due to HFMD. Damn scary lor, 4 cases in one day leh! We all busy cleaning... People whom I have told about my day at work all joked that the job suit me well, since I like cleaning so much.
Anyway, I ended at about 4.30pm where I went to AMKhub to go shop shop, I was in a very good mood until something really unfortunate happened to me and I lost the mood to shop.
It's really very sianz lor... Blog it next time! Late already.

Terrible interview...Terrible week...
I went to an interview this morning to realize I'm not going to the one I want! From a normal Engineer, suddenly become System Safety Engineer... and from the job scope the SE told me, one little mistake and it could be hazardous! Like vehicle blown up and kill people! Wah lau....
My convocation... Very happening, but I think my parents left a bit too early, only took one photo shoot. I wanted to bring them to try the food, but ended up like they didn't do anything and then they left. Mum's shoes broke on the way, Dad was in the toilet when I was on stage, food sucks, camera spoilt. Everything so wrong!
Jamie also broke her front tooth after being knocked down by her clumsy friend. A big chip somemore! Her teeth wasn't very strong in the first place already.... Haiz...
More job hunt!

Mahjong Madness
Wah ha ha ha! I won a total of $24++ on Saturday night! Damn shiok! It was such an adrenalin rush game that I jumped in joy when I won a game with "花上" coz the tile was the last already! Heng to the max lor! Jia gave me a cold by reminding me not to break the floor.
Sunday we played mahjong again, although I didn't win, it was a small lost, $2.40, about 10% of my winnings. Ha.... Sub Sub Suey lah! :P
Went to buy 汤圆 from the neighbourhood mart on Thursday, and the fridge was horribly smelly! I told the auntie about it and Mum seemed to be amused that I told the auntie about her smelly fridge. What's wrong? Smelly mah, should tell so that she could rectify the problem right? I was pretty worried that 汤圆 would be smelly too.
It's convocation this week, and I am still jobless. Haiz...
P/S: Kenny Sia Blog Plug linked to this A-List Anonymous Celebrity. After I read, she revelaled about partying her birthday until 5am this morning, and from what I analysed from her blog, she seemed to be a party siao girl. So I had a rough idea of who she is and checked on IMDB on this really young superstar's birthday and I got it right! Pretty much obvious who she is actually. Check here

Clean clean clean
Every Wednesday, I will bring Jamie to school and then I return to my bed once I returned. Depends on the situation, sometimes I will use the computer for an hour or two before I go back to my dreamland.
Not this morning. For the n+1 time, I was cleaning my room again. You may wonder, or screaming inside yourself, "Your room is so bloody clean already, still clean?" Bo pian... My dressing table was infested with ants because of an unseen dead insect which was beyond recognition. So I clean lor... and while I clean, I decide to do some packing also and that leaded me to entering numerous times in Jia's room to get some stuffs which she complained to me I was very disruptive to her sleep.
After a nap + lunch break, I went to clean the art section (a small area which we dedicated to art & craft stuffs like drawing paper, construction paper, paintbrushes tc) because I was looking for something. Then after being a temp handyman fixing the skin of the study table (table old liao, waspeeling), I wiped the surface on the way.
Jia was very very very disturbed by my obsessive cleaning the whole day, even though it took me out of my couch potato state (with pc). Well, when the mood starts, is hard to stop for me. She was most annoyed when I was doing worksheet filing for Jamie (yes, I'm becoming a slave to her liao), not because Jamie didn't do it herself, but because I was not helping Jia with any of her things. :P
Yes, look a little bias but then... she hasn't had much stuffs to clear anyway.
I am really obsessed with cleaning, after watching TV shows, I would start to vacuum at 9pm and it took me 45 minutes. Then I would mop the floor for 15 minutes and then watched the 10pm show and then try to mop the floor at every commercial interval. Usually I mop the kitchen last when the shows end. It would be 11.30pm before I bath. Despite doing all these at such late timings, I rather enjoyed the clean clean house after my hard work. I think, somehow, this is a subconcious effort to compensate my presence at home.
Make myself useful mah!

Wa Kaoz
Jamie developed sexy raspy voice after a greedy attempt of hot fudge sundae + sweets, words out from her mouth were hardly audible.
As usual, her maths was not up to my standard and I was telling her to draw the graph higher to achieve the desired 26-bouquets marking on the graph, coz it was not tall enough. She gave me a "Wa Kao".
"How dare you Wa Kao at me?"
Clearing her throat, she croaked, "Not Wa Kao, is hen gao! (很高)"
Oh, sorry, my mistake. She was trying to tell me the graph was very "tall".
Jiat Lat, my life revolve around only Jamie.

The League of Extraordinary Spectacle Girls
As much as we nagged nagged nagged about do not read in dim light, do not sit near the TV, do not lie down and read books, Jamie finally joined us in this league with a degree power of 1.75 each.
I realized I commanded much authority over her, one word from me and she will go scrambling to do whatever I told her to. Despite so much nagging and scoldings, she still has full of love for me instead of hate, ha ha.
I think we 3 sisters shared a miraculous relationship. Jia pissed me, I pissed Jamie, Jamie pissed Jia, but on second thought, Jamie and I pretty much hold hands together and pissed Jia most of the time. Nevertheless, we three are bonded, in any kind way.
Jamie is very blur, more blur than me. Her subtraction problem ended as addition, so I was telling her that logically, no subtraction problem will have an answer bigger than the number given in the problem.
“那里有东西越减号码越大的?” I said.
Jia quipped in, “你咯!”
Win liao lor... I know my diet attempts just pack in the pounds instead of taking away.

Auntie Magnet
I think my face attract aunties, cute, lovable and harmless. But they shunned away the moment I talk. Ha ha...
One auntie requested my help to buy 4D today, nothing weird happened, and I won $5 in the scratch card. I had bought the card so that I would have change to return the auntie, unexpectally bring me a tiny windfall!
Hopefully luck keeps on rolling!

Sianz sianz sianz
Another week gone again... Now I'm having a very entertaining time doing housework, and I packed my room (again!) for the nth time since May... A lot compared to previously twice a year cleaning.
Seriously, I don't think I'll get a call from the manager. Instead of a impressive interview, I gave him a memorable one, a "Thank you you" followed by a muffled "Thansss for your time.too" at the end of the interview. And when I asked what was my chance of getting hired, he turned a big round telling me he still had to compare with other candidates, and told me usually resume would be kept a year before they throw. I took it as a hint lor.
Haiz...

Why? Why? Why?
Why I so stupid???
There were so many things I could do to impress the interviewer but I didn't!
I wanted to email the admin secretary for the name of the interviwer, I did not.
I wanted to say hi and shake his hand but I did not.
I wanted to research on their products but I did not.
I couldn't even say a thank you properly!
I couldn't answer properly to his questions but I bombarded him with a lot of questions. More like I interview him lor... I was very intrigued by the job scope and I truly wanted this job, now I screwed it up badly. Don't think I'll get pass to the 2nd round of interview. Damn...

Freak! I had this really weird dream about getting a real lousy job and saw Mr. Hobbes getting hitched! Nightmarish!
I met a hostel friend last Friday and hence, we went for an impromptu chat-n-drink session at Mos Burger. The topics ranged from job hunt to life recently. Since I am unemployed, my only entertainment was to follow my mum on her job. So, this lead to how neat and tidy I always kept my hostel room that many friends feared my visit to their rooms, coz they scared I "not used" and had to sweep before my grand entrance, ha ha. (Side track, I just cleared Jamie's study table today coz the mess was beyond description and I could not tolerate it!) The friend exclaimed, "哇!你可以做贤妻良母了!"
This is the nth such compliment I heard with regards to my exceptional cleaning habit. To top it off, I had training in caring for baby too 9 years ago. So it does makes me a perfect housewife, yah? But then, being a wife now doesn't have to clean like a pro, coz there's always the house maid to save the day what. So I think, I make the perfect maid! Anybody wish to request my service?
Just like things we buy, some people go for look, some people go for the functions, and we usually don't have the best of both worlds. So I'm pretty much like the machine with very good functions but with terrible design, so the buyer really has to know me inside out to get the best out of me, and I pretty much expected nothing more than a dust cover (keep on the shelf too long).
Mama Delfino (Mike's mother in Desperate Housewives) said: A woman should be a chef in the kitchen, a maid in the living room and a whore in the bedroom. We women are really being exploited physically, mentally and emotionally leh! The roles we have to fufill... how come guys just need to be the man in the house and need not do anything?

Almost won $500
Last week, on the day of the spit incident, I was to buy 4D numbers for my mum. Since kenna "head prize", I thought more or less some luck is following me. And miraculously, the number 2708 became 2702 on the chit, wah, I thought maybe this is the magic number leh! But alas, it wasn't!
Today 2702 was on the starter prize, -_-||| Should have bought continuously! Especially so after meeting the crackpot!
Had another of those "I am freaking fat" day. But the medicine for my ear infection made me so drowsy, plus I did not drink my coffee today. Hence, I slept almost half the day away, aeroplane Belle's invite for a jog.
Cannot! Cannot! Must start some routine somehow...

Just when I thought nothing weirder could happen to me after the spit...
I met an old crackpot!
I went to Watson's after a doctor's visit, and was on my way home when a lady, dunno whether she was middle-age or near 70s coz the makeup on her face looked like she had used flour instead of normal foundation, approached me to help her carry some stuffs. She said she had really important documents and cannot "拿上拿下". She was carrying 3 bags, a small tote, a medium fluffy dog-design handbag, and a large light blue but very dirty bottom shoulder bag on her left arm, a letter in her hand, and pieces of $50 notes and bankbook in her right hand. Oh, I haven't mentioned her hairstyle, she had bangs, those flat and thick kind which cover her brows, long hair crimped on the back with a clip but wasn't any tidier.
Anyway, I thought it was to carry stuffs to her car, coz she came out from the carpark, so I obliged. She called NTUC as Government Minimart (政府合作社)and we were there, I realised I was to do her shopping! Never mind... Since I had gave her my words, I thought I just quickly settled it and go. I asked her why not put her money and letter into her bag, she said, "Oh, they are very important, I cannot put them inside!" What the....
As the minute passed, I got more uncomfortable. I myself had a big Watson bag with my stuffs, and I had to helped her with her things somemore. She didn't have an agenda, very spontaneously listed out her items, as below:
So I told her I would go and change the oranges, and when I saw that she wasn't looking, I made my escape!
It was very embarrassing when I was with her, she kept talking to everybody how nice I was, yet she was very demanding! When I left the basket behind, she actually asked me to push the basket with my foot! Why not she push with her foot and grab the items with her elbows! For a while I felt bad, but then thinking of the attention we were getting in NTUC, I think I should not have agreed to help her in the first place!
Wah biang!
It took me 15 years to know the correct way of washing my ears. Just rub with a wet cloth will do. I disliked the oiliness and had always used soap and water to shower. Dang! My right ear has infection and I had always thought it was a huge pimple in my ear! Now I really afraid that I will go deaf, which is a high possibility coz I huh a lot of times nowadays, and people had to repeat to me 5 times before I get their words. Terrible!!!
Not as bad as Jamie's, I asked her to help me blow (吹) away the dirt in my infected ear, she gave me a light hit(捶) on my ear! Not surprise if I really become deaf!
I finally got a job reply!!! Mum as usual, said "Go and try lah!" A weird answer to someone who is desperately wanting to go interviews!

I think this person really did a thorough research, and a witty one too. Here.

Feeling Awful
I felt really awful yesterday, not about my interview, which I think I didn't make it lah, but about my appearance. I didn't have time to put on decent makeup to cover my tiredness, puffy eys and dull complexion before the interview, but that's not the problem. I couldn't pinpoint which area I felt really awful, but I just tot I looked really really really ugly, like a troll. Big, heavy and grunt when I talked.
After a whole day of scrutinizing, I thought shaping my eyebrow might do me some good, and unwilling to get cheated again, I DIY.
The result was surprisingly neat, and the brows are almost on equal heights this time! My previous virgin attempt on shaping my eyebrows ended looking like I was giving the one brow raise look 24/7.
Now I just need a new haircut to make myself feel sexy.

Still Jobless
Aiyoyo... Seems like many of my friends had found a job... and I'm still hanging around like a teenage kid.
When I told my mum I am going for interview, she would say, "Aiyah, just go and try lah!" in a tone so irritating. I don't know how to put it, but she seemed to have this hardcoded idea that I am choosy about my first job. I was just telling her that this Wednesday I'm going for a session, and the moment I mentioned it was a recruit agency, she start rattling off, "Just go and try, don't try how you know you don't like the job" blah blah blah the tone she used when I do something wrong.
Oh yeah, I won't forget how she snide at my poly first job, "你那个那里算, 只是你玩玩而已。" Yah right, I slogged like a cow for an ITE pay, really play play for fun only. I didn't even say a word that shows my discontentment about a that interview!!! It's not my fault if 8 of out 10 companies doesn't want me and which made me a slacking parasite.
Bleahz.... How? So difficutlt to squeeze into IT with half IT degree and a useless CCNA.

Lucky!
Other than the spitting drama, I still feel that my life is very lucky!
I am a big and fat procrastinator, I always pushed my things to do at the very last minute, thinking that it will spur me more to complete more things. Of course, the time is just enough to achieve average results, and I would wished for one more day to give the stuff a boost!
For example, the current project I am doing now for my ex IA coy, it had been 2 months already, by right it should be long completed, but by left, I dragged,my boss also dragged, hence, I am still 10% away from finishing line.
Today was supposed to complete everything, but it was nowhere near the finished product, so I thought I just went away and submit, and made adjustments spontaneously. Who knows, I was supposed to reach at 1pm, but I left house at 12.45pm, hence, when my boss called and informed me that he wouldn't be free to go through the project with me, deep down I was happy, coz I got another day to finish! Probably the spit did me some good here?
Even though there were many times I told myself, finish earlier, more time for adjustments, still I always dragged till 2 days before then I do my stuffs. Tsk tsk tsk... Just like a habit, it takes time to mold this habit out... which I am still molding. I truly look upon people who finish their stuffs, no bring over. I truly should set a good example to Jamie, then she won't be always using my slang: "Later then I do lah!"

Drama Ma Ma
My recent life is so peaceful that I hope for some drama to happen, like: falling in love? Ha ha... Indeed, a drama did happen, but not the one I wished for. Someone spitted onto my head while I was on the up-riding escalator in Northpoint!!! TA MA DE... It was so so so traumatizing leh! Imagine you saw something whitish fell down, and it thudded on your head. Your reflex reaction was to touch that thing and it was slimy. And when you saw what was on your fingers to be saliva with bubbles somemore, could you not freak out?
I rushed to the toilet immediately to wash my hair man, damn gross!
I could not pinpoint who was that disgusting fella, but still, my mind automatically thought of some of the unwelcome people which our govt love to employ. Seriously, S'pore uncles, like my dad may spit, but they spit by the roadside or drain. This fella seriously have no sense of hygiene lor! Wah lau, spit in a shopping centre!
Jia was telling me how murky the public swimming pool was in Yishun, and it even tasted salty (coz she accidentally swallowed a few mouthfuls)! I don't recall the water was salty back when I was in primary school. This is very horrifying, that our gracious society is being polluted by people whose own country who doesn't educate its people manners!
I have smell body odor so bad that it was as if they were walking rubbish collection center, albeit unwillingly though. I have seen enough of them in my hostel who don't bath, but merely wiped themselves with a tub of water only.
Seriously, we should really enforce rules to those people who wished to come to our country. Like in Holland, foreigners who wanted to stay in the country, be in long term or short term, they were required to do a compulsory questionnaire to show how much they understand Holland's living lifestyle and culture. We ought to do the same too! Like, where do you spit if you can't find a toilet? Which side should you stick to in a walkway? How should one behave in a crowded place?
I have noticed how rude people were to me in the service area and mostly were people who are not local. No, I don't mean Malaysians, they are similar to us and in fact, their service were more sincere!
Oh man, a spit of saliva trigger so much... I also very suay lah! When I was in secondary school, I kenna someone' vomit too (I think the person was so sick and nauseous that he/she just vomited over the wall in the third floor), but luckily it fell onto my bag. Anyway, saliva on my head felt worse than vomit on my bag!
NABEH!!!! Hmpf!

Fatal Attraction
Min recently adopted a new nasty habit: waking me up by ranting non-stop for 2 to 3 hours, which could start as early as 8am!
Gosh, bless my snores!
And recently, her habit took an unorthodox way of waking me, that was depriving me of all slumber necessities such as switching off the fan in my humid room; taking away my pillows and bolster until none left.
Yesterday was the ultimate: instead of clutching all the huggies with her less than a metre hands, she joined me in the bed, with me as HER bed! Bleahz...
Just another week to endure before she goes back to school!

Change
Changed my flooble chatbox to cbox's one coz flooble was blocked by my CA's Parental Control. The ironic part about this CA was it was supposed to control Jamie's games, but it didn't seem to have any effect on it leh! She still could play most of her games but most of my blog feeds were blocked. So unfair.
We actually had lobsters for supper, which we thought they were crayfishes. A simple fix would do, boil them, scrap the meat out, mix with mayo and black pepper: Nice. =)
I had so many dumplings for breakfast that I'm sore at the thought of eating it again, but nonetheless, I was seduced to finish the remaining ghee dumplings just now. Burp!
My life is so sedentary siah... I'm storing all the fats already... and not many of the useless things passed out leh... wah... even my blog is like getting boring.

Mahjong Luck Running Out... Meow...
Went for a game of mahjong today, no luck + no skill = lose money. I played with Belle and her uni frens, who were all highly skilled, bleahz... Kinda lost my concentration coz my energy was sapped up after trying to counter-guard them, and ended up trying to win fast to minimize loss. But they are very nice chaps, coz 2 of them were tag-team, so while one is playing, the other one will guide us on our playings, =).

While I was out shopping with Kim yesterday, we came across a rather fat orange tabby cat, sitting solemnly against the pillar.
Kim: Is that cat pregnant?
Me: I don't know, ask it?
Kim: Ha ha ha, how to ask?
Me: Meow1! Meow2! Meow1?
Kim: No, you should sound sad mah coz...
Me: (without letting Kim finished her sentence) Like this?
Me and Kim: Meow~~~~~ (low pitch)
We two are so crappy, ha ha. It was always fulfilling (as in my self discovery) to go out with her, coz she was able to give me insights that I do not see, and she won't put me down in an ugly way, but rather, knock me out of my nonsensical rubbish by telling me methodically which makes perfect sense. She was always right, like when I am far too nice to a certain person who did not deserve it at all, letting myself being squeezed unconditionally. We talked about so much things, which made her appalled at my way of thoughts, and hence made me ashamed of my own childish thinkings. Must change must change...
True friends give real judgment of you, whether you like to hear or not. However, I don't know if I passed as a true friend coz I am so afraid to annoy people, yet I do annoy people unknowingly, this is so perplex! Perhaps, being truthful and being annoying is a thin line between to tread on...
So... A better me, a better world???

Jia was telling me how young the directors are nowadays, hence they must be very competent, to be director of certain division etc. However, I told her somehow "directors" are overrated nowadays, anyone can be a director, like the hair director neighborhood hair saloon who charge us $5 (in the past) for a haircut. Anyway, I bought the Saturday's The ST to look for jobs, and while flipping through the thick "Recruit" section, I saw a casket company looking for:
Funeral Director: must possess a class 3 driving license. I assume this "Director"drives the van.
and at the same column, Funeral advisors: must be physically fit.
Interesting how a job title could beautify a job, hor?

Hooray! No more NTU!!!
I passed! I PASSED ALL! YEAH!!!
With a significant chiam tou somemore!!! Another A- bagged, for my design module! =) I was so exhilarated to see the A- that I jumped for joy, literally! Floor almost cracked under my gradually increasing and already very heavy weight. Coz tat A- was the least to expect, when 50% was project based and we channeled 90% of our energy in recreating from samples. =P I was so afraid that marker will see through the plan... phew... I'm definitely not proud of this but under that circumstance, it's bo pian...
Engineers and society was also least expected, a B, I did crap my paper through, leaving shitty remarks on the history of Singapore and industrialization etc. Probably this proved something, crapping does come in handy sometime.
FYP needless to say... 400 lines of codes only, what to expect except a B. I brought it upon myself one lor... Serves me right...
Computer Security was a B-, hmm... can't remember the questions, but then it was the last paper and I have ample time to study... and then I think I spent 3 days... so ok, B- is good enough.
Web Services I got a B+, wah ha ha, another grade which I don't know how it came about. I was only confident about the first question on history of internet, which I wrote non-stop for 20 minutes. The last 2 questions was really anyhow whacked, coz it was on XML which I have to write codes and I didn't memorize all, only remembering selectively some parts... I think the lecturer gave me sympathy marks for wasting ink on top of those correct codes, which somehow tabulated to a B+ which he probably didn't understand why too. He might have counted again and again until he was reluctant to give me the grade. =D
Database was the one I feared most, I only had 1 day to study and there was a lot of materials which I miraculously failed to see. Prior before the start of exams, I also scrapped some tutorials only and I had thought I wouldn't have make it through. Still I got a C+, can't complain.
Together with my previous Cs and Ds in the first 3 semesters and a lot of Bs in the last semester, I got a 3rd class, still, mai hiam ka zui, I had passed!
It is not the best when people looked at it (the grades and class), but it's the best at how I looked at it, so I am happy.
Less expectations bring more happiness.
Less desires lead to self-satisfaction.

*吉粽: Ghee dumpling, not too sure what it is called in Mandarin, so I named it 吉粽, which is a very very auspicious name too.
~||~~||~~||~~||~~||~~||~~||~~||~~||~~||~~||~~||~~||~~||~~||~
Seriously, seriously, I think I have a very big screw loose in me. I wrote a false number down in a financial planner's survey form and I actually told him that was a false number 30 minutes later. I am too trusting to people... The illogical side of me thought it was perfectly logical to inform him that little error I made, not only that, but I honestly told him that I thought he was just going to talk (indirectly meaning "pester") for a few minutes. -_-|||
Wah, is there someone else as honest as me? As truthful as me? As insensitive as I could be. Wah ha ha.

Monday was a busy day for me: I had to clear my hostel room and return key, get my book back from Mr. Calvin, print and zap my CV, transcripts and certs, meet my poly-family. I lugged a big bag stuffed with my hostel stuffs, carrying them the whole day, no wonder I was so tired.
Well, I thought meeting Mr. Calvin would be the highlight of the day, coz it was weeks since we had our common exam paper. And I thought I would once again showed all my nervousness and with the 小鹿乱撞 feeling in front of him. Nervous made me lose myself sometimes, ha, and talking incoherently would be one of the symptoms. Thankfully, I was able to string my words into sentences and I stopped mentioning HRM for once. Miss Ng was all chio mi mi when she saw me talking to Mr. Calvin... so indiscreet. LOL. But then, after the infatuation period, comes the dreadful uncertainty period. In infatuation, I believe everything I feel, believing that he was the one. Now, I am feeling so insecure in many ways and I don't know how to put it. There were friends who encouraged me to make the first move, but hell no way I could, I just don't feel good doing it coz I think I screwed up everything (considering past instances). I rather remain as friends as it is now, and don't think too much.

Ghee dumpling, not too sure what it is called in Mandarin, so I named it 吉粽, which is a very very auspicious name too.

Questions...
Q1. On a rainy day, how do u ensure 2 women & 1 girl(who is one head shorter than the adults), get across from one flat to another flat without being drenched like wet chicken, passing a Sikh temple and a petrol station (which means there is no overhead shelter) with only one small umbrella and at the same time, carrying 2 sacks of 5kg rice, 2 bags of grocery items?
The answer is "Mission Impossible".
Q2. What do you get if the trio do get across using only one umbrella?
The answer is "Two's company, three's a crowd".
I went to help my mum with her grocery shopping after she finished her work. While she was looking at some dumpling leaves, Jamie and I were waiting nearby when rain started to fall. Henceforth, Jamie sang "Rain Rain Go away, little children want to play" hoping the rain would stop.
I told her that she shouldn't sing "little children want to play" coz that wasn't our plight. So she sang, "Rain Rain Come Again, little children don't want to play" and the rain got 5g/cm cubic denser.
Funnily tickled, I said "No, you should sing Rain Rain Go Away, we are dying to go home!" and the rain turned to full blast. -_-|||
So armed with only one umbrella, courtesy of MDIS, our plan was to get Jamie to shelter us from that one flat to another flat, me first followed by Mum. Because I had to carry the 2 sacks of rice, I was totally half drenched on my right side and Jamie's drenched on her left side and my waist down coz I was trying to fit to her height.
It doesn't harm to bring an extra umbrella and close all windows before going out, seriously. Not only were we wet, so was our house.

Letting things go
*Jia commented that "letting things down" sounds like I did wrong to 'things'. Pardon my half-bucket Engrish.
I was sorting out some stuffs today, some really old stuffs that was kept for remembrance. As I dig them out, looking at my past, I realized I like to keep stuffs so that I will remember them. The ironical part was, their physical beings were left hidden for years, until I would take time out to clear and wipe the dust before I remembered that I kept them.
As I cleared the materials that were inside this big box which was once a box for Japanese cakes, there were watches, cute letter sets, bookmarks of Jimmy Lin, idol cards, photo album of Jimmy Lin, letters and newspaper cuttings of Jimmy Lin.
Needless to say, I was a huge fan of Jimmy Lin when I was between 7 -12.
I was really appalled at the huge amount of newspaper cuttings I had about him, from movie reviews, to gossips, to articles about him, I had 3 sets of plastic sheets filing them. Even if his name was just mentioned once in some other news, I cut it down. I remembered I had this idea of putting them into scrapbook when I have the time and money. Obviously, this idea was not fulfilled because I was becoming lazier. I was rather amazed at the determination I had in tracking his every single minute details. Of course, some articles were given by my old pen pals whom many of them were no longer in contact.
When I was 13, he came to Singapore to promote his album. Being 13, I thought I was old enough to travel to Marina Square already, since I was hanging out with my band friends at AMK every Saturday. No one would have thought, this "visit" marked the end of my obsession about him. Suddenly, I realized why was I crazy over someone who didn't know my existence. I started selling all the stuffs I have on him, some of which I had bought them after starving and saving the pocket money. I thought it would be just nice to collect his CDs and old albums.
Now years later, not only did I stop collecting his CDs (partly because he didn't release any too), I actually forgot that many years ago, he was my Prince Charming. So I wanted to throw all the newspaper cuttings away, but as I read them, sorting them, throwing them, I ended up putting them back, thinking "I'll throw them when I really sorted them, this is too vague".
There had been many stuffs which I had not wished to part with them, but as I think back, I couldn't recall what were them and were they that valuable to me. Even memories had the same share of treatment. Memories that were so bad that I had wished they never happened. As I recalled back, they weren't that bad after all.
It really depends how badly you want to hold on to it and letting it go isn't that difficult after all.

I was telling my Dad about my New Zealand Pick N Play, and he disapprove it, giving the reason "这种是骗小孩子去做苦工"。 But then I'm just a visa and air tix away already...

Penang Trauma
How could I forgot this traumatizing experience?
Jia and I were the only 2 aged 25 and below, hence it become sort of a topic for the oldies to chat. Anyway, on day 2 evening, I changed to a black tee shirt and because my grey pants was already very tight, my muffins were flowing way over and there was no way my tee could hide.
So while waiting for the lift , they were gasping how alike we were to our mum blah blah blah... Suddenly this auntie stared patting my waist and chanted: "这边不要像妈咪"
I was too stunned to react expect replying that it was due to exam stress, then the lady started saying must lose weight etc.
Jia was quietly stepping back and sucking in her own mini muffins. -_-|||
I joked about how adults had moved from my face down to my stomach: from pinching my face and said "so cute" to pointing my stomach and said "so fat".
Haiz...

Penang Trip
Today is a Saturday, absolutely no reason for me not to blog... This blog is collecting spider eggs already.
Penang Trip - Day 1
I set off with Mum and Jia on the 17th May, 6am. Our bus was to leave at 7am at Hougang, yeap, I board the bus all the way to Penang.
Our first stop was at a JB (not to sure) coffee shop where I had my worst coffee ever, literally tasted like long-gao water mixed with ash. We had the breakfast with my gu-gu, godma and a auntie friend, not to eat too full coz we will be sitting all day long. The you char kway (you tiao) was very nice coz it very crunchy. We also had this Ye Zi Mei Da Bao, very huge very huge. Although I'm a fan of pork, but somehow I don't like to eat Da Bao, all I could say was, the skin was very soft, very nice. =D
The first day was a road trip on the Nan Bei Da Qiao (南北大桥), and toilet breaks all the way and lunch. When we finally reach Penang, we went to Kuan Zi Jiao (关仔角) and had dinner. It was an open coffee shop, so naturally the place was very packed and wet. We had the assam laksa, famous char kway tiao from cantonment street (yes, we travel all the way up north to eat char kway tiao from Singapore), fried oyster omelette (very very nice, even I who don't link to eat oyster had a few helpings ), and chendol. After dinner we went Gurney Plaza to window shop.
One thing to note, the chair and tables were made available by the drink stalls, hence you will have to order from them. A group of people ordered drinks from the stall A, but were sitting at Stall B's tables and chairs, so Vendor B rudely pushed those drinks to the table beside. So kei gao lor. But then, with so fierce competition, they have no choice I think.
A volunteer for some child charity also keep buzzing from table to table, mumbling "You don't have to donate, just listen will do" but ending up keep pestering us to donate. We didn't like his pushy attitude lor. Haiz... Really spoil the dinner.
Penang Trip - Day 2
The first stop was to a chocolate factory, yummy yum yum! So, how could I miss taking a picture right? There was a lot of variety of chocolates and while it came in small beautiful dainty packaging, it also came with a huge 1kg kind. Being typical Singaporean, most of us bought the 1kg one, even though we might take10 years to eat that much, but then, comparing to the beautiful tins that could be used to store things, we prefer to store the chocolate in our stomachs.
2 shops away was a coffee boutique! Ooh.... I am so happy, after chocolate was coffee, both my favourites! The shop had a wide variety of coffee beans, but too bad, they came in just normal 25 packings kinds, I would love to lug another 1kg back. The shop was very quaint, with a trishaw with sacks of coffee beans. Tourists mah, of course must take pictures! Ha ha, 美中不足的是:umbrella too small lah!
Oh yah, there was samples for us to eat and drink, I tried the Macchiato, too bland for my liking. I still like the Nanyang flavour, gao gao with guni. Oh yah, kopi-o in Malaysia is rather sourish, hence do put milk if you do not like the sour taste.
After the coffee, we went to a tar sau pia outlet which sold many other things other than tar sau pia, hmm... didn't buy anything there, coz it was more of an auntie's haven. =D Jia was persuaded to test some ointment though.
I think after the food line-up, the tour guide thought it would be good to let usrun wild relax in their botanical garden. As the saying goes: 外国的月亮比较圆, I must say 外国的猴子也比较凶。SG monkeys will still be a feet away from you, those Penang monkeys, all vying to get near to you and grab your food! Kids are always targeted, coz they usually armed themselves with ice-creams which offer no protection but attraction, those monkeys stole the ice-creams before you could even lick it.
Rain came after we were there for less than 1/2 an hour, so we made our way to lunch before we visited this temple which was high high high up. After spending 1 hour climbing up there and squeezing in the inclination lift, we were treated to this:
About the inclination lift, I was quite mad that they squeezed us like a can of sardines, really! I understand there was a long long queue, but then, squeezing us to the extent of Japan's bullet train? Come on, the lift doesn't stop working and it won't hurt for the people behind us to wait one more ride. Irksome, so never go holiday on public holidays.
We also went to a batik factory where Jia was once again being dragged to model their batik dress. Better spare her the humiliation by not loading the vid.
It was free and easy for us after dinner, hence Jia and I managed to walk by ourselves to a shopping mall. The aunties went back to their room to play blackjack after seeing nothing for 5 minutes. Jia bought shoes and jeans while I bought slippers, coz my brown slipper which I brought along actually snapped and I can't walk anymore in the white flats: too smelly.
Anyway anyway, we shopped for about 2 hours, quite a mad rush coz the mall was huge!
Penang Trip - Day 3
The last day was road trip back to SG, and we went to visit this temple in the midst of some veggie farm I think. We have to take our shoes off in the temple. I was behind Jia when we went inside to visit, and when I looked down, I pointed at her feet and laughed. Coz she was doing this:
No no no, don't get me wrong I'm not laughing at her awkward feet, but because I was doing the same thing! It was really funny how similarly we reacted to the dusty floor.
It was a long jam when we arrived at Tuas Checkpoint, coz many Singaporeans were out of SG during the long weekend. On the way back, there was a bus broke down, and the people in the bus had to walk to the custom, but they were not allowed to enter, coz they need to be in a bus! And they had no choice but to walk back and along the way, asked the buses to pick then up but many refused until they came to us. Quite poor things. And after we cleared the customs, I saw them being questioned. The Lebanese had wanted to lodge a complain and wanna take a photo of the officer who refused them entry. Oh my, this isn't about customer service leh! Jia and I both gave the "eyes" when that lady said she wanna complain.
The best part of the trip would be my winning in playing Bingo, which was to help us kill time. There was 1 Big prize, and 1 small prize. During the trip, I won 3 Big and 1 Small! Very Lucky! Won enough to cover the cost of my slippers.

Random Rubbish
I'm leaving for Penang in 3 more hours. Will be posting many many (hopefully) pictures lah!
Turned out that Mum is going to Penang too, and she hid it from us for 2 whole weeks! Crazy Jia had a crazy time laughing until she cried, when Mum finally told her that she's going and hence, "delivered" Jamie to one of my relatives. Ha... We thought she wanna get some lomantic time with my Dad without the 3 chandeliers, ha ha ha!
I met up with a secondary school fren today. We haven met since our poly first year! Damn long ago, and we went to Mac, coz that was the place we always hang out back in secondary school days during the study period for O-levels. Mac was also proudly my sponsor for the 10kgs I gained in that 1 year, gosh.
Among my clique, there was only a guy which now had evolved into a faithful Amway distributor, me dread of meeting up with him, and 2 malay girls. Anyway, we took some pictures with the magnificent M logo, to show to the other girl Shameen who is still in Egpyt. Hear from Liana (the person I met) that Shameem is getting married to that shy boy from SRJC. Heh heh.
Wah...
Alright, too tired to do anything. Shall upload my glorious pictures next time

Biting Mood
I'm in an absolute annoying mood: PMS
Hence, this sparked the raging hormonal war in my house right now. What to expect when there 3 women in the household, every month is either a war between either 2 of us or the 3 of us. Number 4 joining us in a few years time.
I tak boleh tahan when Mum chided me for not vacuuming the floor because there were so many hairs. Unwillingly, I mopped the floor with an vengeful force, so that I marked every furniture with a bang.
I don't understand, since she entrusted me with the task, so why should she bother with how I go about doing it? Obviously she must have been confident with how I fare in housework, so why should she be so traumatized with me missing a step in cleaning? And it's those one of those blue moon days where I'm feeling lazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need to bite something!
ROAR!!!

It had been 4 days since my last entry, but it felt like a whole week! Wed's presentation was a totally bullshit, and me must have ate a tiger's gut to shoot back my moderator, although I wasn't very assertive lah.
Been busy dating, that's what my life been revolving, and he's none other than Mr.

HARRY POTTER!!!
I dun understand why a supposedly children book could catch everybody's soul, including mine. I'm already almost finishing the 5th title, Order of the Phoenix. And when we went library today, Jamie actually found the 6th and 7th! It is such a horrible suppression to keep my hands off them for the next few weeks coz I got shitloads of things to clear! FYP binding, FYP instruction guide, clear room, blah blah blah.. The things I wanted to do is almost 2 A4 pages, with my point size 20 font though, still... a lot...
Oh, I've passed the first interview, and I am going to the second round on Monday. But then, I am in a huge dilemma now though, despite that I am more or less finalized on my next plan already. Will reveal more details once I settled everything, first thing first was getting an IOU from Loanshark Lim. =)
To me, a once-in-a-lifetime experience is more worth than paid job, hence, my itchy butt is now once again in a deeper shitty debt lah.
Haiz... Loanshark Lim said, "钱债能还的再多,也没人情债多,因为是欠一辈子的。" Must be extra nicey to her liao.
I realized I'm less conscious about how my body looked fat when I'm with Jamie, coz bringing her automatically makes me look like I'm her mother and having a kid somehow justify my barrel body. But then, so many mothers who had a dozen kids don't even weigh half of me lor... !@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*&

Act 叻again
I spent the whole of yesterday reading Harry Potter.
I spent the whole of this morning reading Harry Potter.
I spent 1 hr in the train writing notes for the slides.
I spent 45 minutes typing my slides.
I spent 20 minutes to complete my presentation.
Judging the amount of time I spent on the different priorities, I am dangerously planting seeds of regrets in months to come. :P
Since I already expected to see myself regret when the results are out, will I still regret?

Rejected
Jia asked me, whether I was rejected by companies before. At that moment, I couldn't recalled any straightaway, and now as I think back, I did get rejected, twice, both telco companies.
The first rejection by the west side telco was expected coz I wanted to work part time, and when they asked me if I could get to work on time, I told them should be no problem, but I got stunned when they asked what if I couldn't handle both jobs, and I couldn't justify my position of why I wanted to work a part time when I already held a full time job, and I possibly couldn't tell them it was because I wanted to earn more money! BTW, it was a group interview.
The second time was at the east side telco, a temp full time job to work before I entered Uni. The reason why I wasn't selected was pretty straightforward: I went straight to interview after a half day work with no nap during the travel from west to east, hence I talked incoherently and wasn't impressive to the supervisor. I remembered being very tired and pondered his questions each for a long time.
To me, it was just finding another job lor.

Dusty Blog
It's been a week since I last blogged! Whoot! What a long time!
I sucked badly at today's job interview, there were a few times which I wanna slapped myself after I answered, bleahz... Must practiced more....
Been busy catching the HK drama Ah-Wang, that's why I hardly blogged coz I'm hardly in front of the PC. And when I'm using the PC, I'm so tired that I just checked my emails and then go to sleep.
Tomorrow must chiong FYP presentation slides and test the laptop. Bleahz!
More updates about my recently reclaimed life soon!

Question...
What is the superlative of "good"?
The answer is "best".
I was given the honour of a similar question, "What is the superlative of obedience?"
For a moment, I was thinking super-laxative, aka lau sai.
Yes, my English is worse then a primary three. I had never got myself really acquainted with Mr Adjective, Mrs Adverb, Prof Past Participants etc. I only know Brother Nouns.
Probably I should really get to know them really well one day... when I'm bored... and then start reading the Primary Six Level English assignment book again!

Mistakes Unlimited Corporation
A stupid mistake I did last year when my phone was lost. At M1 paragon, I was pestered by someone infamous and I foolishly joined his brood.
Nabeh, all was alright until Mr. Color decided to dig his website and people were laughing at the talents. All was alright until I saw my name.
GASP! HORROR! UNBELIEVABLE!
It wasn't in the entry itself, but someone arsehole was mocking me in the comment box. Yah lah, I know how I looked like, and I didn't bother to explain why I agreed to that profile, coz the entry was a year ago, and I just found it.
And I am sure damn glad I had chopped my hair away and is wearing specs. So I looked nothing like the one in the photo with my disheveled curly hair and no-spectacle look.
This just makes me wanna lose weight even more and stack my old look away siah!
Horror once again!
Oh My Goodness!

Sibeh Sibeh Sianz
Sibeh Sianz didn't update his blog for the longest time. I can be the Sibeh Sianz number 2, coz I am sibeh sianz with my exams. WHY ON EARTH DID I CHOOSE THAT MODULE WHICH THE EXAM FALLS ON THE LAST FRIDAY OF EXAM PERIOD?!?!?
I'm not confident about my paper later, coz with less than 3 hours to do the paper, I'm still only 65% done. How to go for exam?
Worse come to worse, muster my 牛屎功, and hopefully, they find it too wordy to mark my papers.
Yeah right.
Haiz... Feel like sleeping when I read the notes... And I slept 3 or 4 times throughout the whole night!
Argh.. quickly get over it and done with!

Haiz...
I am so sick of my notes now, although I only started reading yesterday and exam is tomorrow. I really hate the exams now more than before, despite the papers being so much easier, hated it becoz it's such a long grueling period to my last paper. And because it was easier, I am lacking the motivation to study. So I will study last minute, and when I come out of the exam hall, I will tell myself, "C is good enough!"
What a loser.
I was so determined to get at least 3 B+ this semester, but judging at the rate I'm studying now, I can only hope for 1 now. Looks like I'm doomed to 3rd class honors. Shit!
And my job search looked so bleak too... Haiz...
Next week will be back at home, and I better push myself to the limit, coz the last paper is my only chance of a B+ this semester!!!
roar...

Oh...Happy Day
Wah ha ha ha... I am exhilarated! Saw Mr. Hobbes at Mac today!!! All thanks to Miss Gwee's bad stomach, else I would have miss him out!
La~~~la~~~la~~~
It was so coincidental! Couldn't remember if he specially came school, but the fact that I bumped into him without any planning, was good enough for me to smile until I cramped! Ha ha ha.
U KNOW HOW HARD IT WAS TO CONTAIN MY COOL WHEN I HAD ALREADY SAW HIM FROM THE CORNER FROM MY EYE!!!
I thought it was someone alike until I recognized his friends with him were from the same FYP lab too.
He took Miss Gwee's seat after his purchase and so we talked and talked and talked, even after Miss Gwee came back.
At one point, I was dying inside to tell Miss Gwee it was him (heard of him but never see before), yet, I wanted to keep talking to him!!! So in the end, we left saying we going to study already... haiz...
Neh mind, he's having exam tomorrow and after that, he will probably return my textbook to me! So maybe can see him again! Yeah~~~
*Continue grinning like the Cheshire Cat*
I don't think he reads my blog, but then, is good if he does, right?
Another happy thing, I got call from Adecco, but then it wasn't for the NZ's Pick n Play, it was a job offer, and I think I must have pissed the lady coz all I said was, "I could give it a try..." which was so unenthusiastic. Ha~~~
She said it is a 6 months to 1 year contract, and conversion based on performance. While I like the job scope she describe, which was more on account maintenance for employees in an investment bank, I don't like the contract part.
Haiz... Just go for the interview and see how lor...

When I was young...
Was dusting some old photo albums over the weekend, and found a favorite photo of me and Dad, our faces were like chop stamp one. Got a favorite photo with Mum, but cannot remember is on which album.
Yeap, that's me, clutching on to a handkerchief. My Mum said the dress I wore disappear after wearing it for one time (Was it because it look so tight on me so it decided to run away?). I guessed I was a happy baby, most of my photos I had that smile plastered on my cheeks. I definitely can be one of those "michelin babies". See my chucky arms! And don't you just feel like touching that wispy mop of hair, and twirl around your index finger? I will, ha ha. Haiz... I wish I still had my baby skin! Looked so bouncy!
Dad said I was so heavy that my skinny Ah-Gong always chuan for air after carrying me. :P
Below is the epitome of "michelin baby"!

You know what I like to do when I was young? Poke my own cheeks... I still got that dog toy in my home now.

Dunno why I poke lah, probably the cameraman asked me to poke my own chubby cheeks.
Mum said I took a lot of photos when I was a baby, coz I was quite a favorite among the uncles and aunties. Of course lah, first fat baby in the Lim clan. My cousins before me were all skinny one. Ha ha ha... even now. Come to think of it, there were only 3 fat babies who were born during the early 80's. A male cousin, me and Jia. But then, I was a weak baby when I was born (weak heart I think), stayed in the hospital for almost a month.
Wah ha ha, I love myself as a baby! Me dig some more after my exams end. =D

Wah...
Another friend getting engaged. This is the number 23 after the secret #1 and a primary school's fren #2 this year. Happy for them, but then, it reminds me of my lonely status.
But heng, I still have 50% of my friends single like me. :P

Kenna Poison
I was almost poisoned just now, coz it was the periodical mosquito-busting fume-the-long-gao again. The fumes was so horribly thick, and a lot penetrated into my room. I could neither open nor close my door, coz I was still "under attack", both in front and behind, but I desperately need some fresh air.
And now, I'm having a throbbing headache and a nauseous stomach, feel like vomiting.
Nabehduous.
Spent half the day job searching, and came across Adecco's New Zealand Pick N Play!!! Any kind soul willing to sponsor my air tickets and minimum NZ$2250 (est. S$2415.55) allowance? I had applied, now I'm just waiting for the person to contact me and discuss.
Worse come to worse, work for a year and apply again next year. =D

It's confirmed
I'm taking up Delphi ex-sup offer as a part timer. The deal is good coz:
I think it was fated that I procrastinated this morning, whether to leave house with Jia, coz Sup sms me in the morning asking me to go down in the afternoon, which I had set to meet Monday today but totally forgot. And I further procrastinated whether to go down coz I had a good time napping until Mum nagged me to go.
It was a nice to go back, coz the staffs still remembered me, and because they had a very bad IA student this time, they remembered me and CC (my partner) even more. Sup fired him halfway through the IA. Damn shiok to know that I was the most popular IA student ever, coz I gossiped with the female staffs and yet delievered results. I was glad about the recognition that Sup gave me, although he wasn't able to offer me a full time job. Ha... Anyway, enough yaya papaya already.
Recession is kicking in, I better find a job asap!
I misplaced my student EZ-link card in AMK Hub's toilet today, and thank goodness the cleaning auntie gave it to the information counter! Phew!
- I'm just handling the division website (flash and html only, don't even need hardcore coding)
- I'm the help support if Sup has any problems with the system programming.
- I'm being offered my IA's pay and maybe more, for a month's worth of job which probably half the time I will be idling.
- I don't have a tight deadline to hit, and I work in the comfort at home (which might be a bad thing too)
- I can spare my time on our project (Jia and I are coming up with something)

Packing Up
Dad fixed the wardrobe today, and I exchanged with Mum's stuffs to the other side where there's more space. I'm already in preparation for my stuffs at hostel. Jia joked that I was like preparing to bring a home of stuffs back, I replied, "Nah, just half a home of stuffs".
Jia casually mentioned that she might not be used to me being at home, which I had also worried about the same thing. While she feared I had different body clocks to work (they slept pretty early, but that could be easily changed! I slept early nowadays too), I was more afraid of "hanging out" in the family. Need some attitude adjustments.
Btw, stop reminding me that I had a $500 debt, I know!!!!! Grr...

Kiddy Encounters
Okay, I just realized my slim blog was locked, but I had unlocked already!
Anyway, today I had a few kiddy encounters. A girl fell down behind me while I was buying my coffee, and instead of helping her up, I was behaving in an oblivious way, probably because her father was coming to help her. Anyway, after I made my way back to my seat to eat my lunch, I realized I was being an ass hole: Why didn't I help her up? Her father was still walking towards her, and she was just behind me!!! Why Why Why??? Me stupid lah...
Anyway, later when I hopped onto a crowded 199, a father was taking his 2 young daughters out, and the younger one was crying crying crying. to be carried. But the father had a handful time with the pram (he tried to hook to the bar but failed) and holding to her, so probably because of my earlier guilt, I helped him took the pram for a while, so that he could carry the girl. The older girl was just standing in front of me, and later switched to the empty place beside me. I would say she has comfortable time laying on me... especially when the bus swerved.
I took half of my clothes back home today, and to my horror, and I ran out of space to put them. Need a new wardrobe.... The current one is bursting with my clothes! I still got a stack in hostel, how? Not to mention the split got bigger after Mum and Jia tried to shift the heavy set... And so, the board kept dropping coz the equilibrium is shifted too. Haiz... Dad is going to fix for me tomorrow, so I could only count on myself to get a new one...
I think eating too much MSG cause some serious deterioration in my sense of smell and taste. Mum always had stewed the apples to make apple juice. So, when I opened the fridge and saw the plastic bottle containing liquid, I muttered, "Ah, apple juice!" And when I opened the lid, wanting to pour myself a cup, I took a quick whiff at it and thought, "Hey, is barley!" And when I finally drank it, I said, "Oh! It's honey!"
How complicated this drink was! And it turned out to be apple juice. -_-

Never sleep with an empty stomach
In my case, I have no choice lah, coz I need to lose weight!!! Grr...
I dreamt that my mum was pan frying the yam cakes, oh looney good stuffs!
Jia just called and informed me that we are having a lunar birthday celebration for Dad tomorrow, which means I'm going to get my butt back in Yishun in a while later, coz Auntie J is also coming and we love a good four rounds of MJ over jokes and TV later, heh.
Mental note: Control my food portion!

Okie, I'm going to do it!
Yes, after so many NATO (No Action Talk Only), I am determined to take away my fats! And so, I started a blog to keep track of my weight and to ensure you people that I am not starving to get in shape. I had one previous post which I talked about losing weight, and a kind stranger actually emailed me not to over do it. Aww... so nice... Anyway... hop to here to read! It's called 99days of Slimventure, obviously taking cue from The Amazing Adventures of the DietGirl. =D
Okie... So probably now my flight blog will be back to my daily nonsense blog. =D
Just now when I was bathing, I was thinking about the BMI. The calculation of BMI is weight(kg)/height square(m). I was thinking, anything square, is a square, you know? Flat square. That's the formula we use to find area of a square right? So how could our weight divide by the square area of our height? Shouldn't it compare to volume instead since we are like, 3D?
It probably takes more than just primary school maths to achieve this theory, and who am I to doubt right? I'm now too tired to think so much. Study also didn't think so much!
And so, according to the BMI, I can weight between 46.2kg to 62kg. Eh... 62 sounds very heavy leh, hor? Most girls at my height might already starve themselves silly to go to 46kg if they are 62kg.
And I found a fabulous site, nutrition.com.sg, which I can source a lot of information about healthy eating and stuffs. Cool!
And a healthy living lifestyle starts from the bed, hee. Good night, I'm already past my usual bedtime already.
Okie... So probably now my flight blog will be back to my daily nonsense blog. =D

And I found a fabulous site, nutrition.com.sg, which I can source a lot of information about healthy eating and stuffs. Cool!
And a healthy living lifestyle starts from the bed, hee. Good night, I'm already past my usual bedtime already.

I wanted to sleep the moment I started reading my notes... Jiat Lat...
And I'm printing my past year papers now which will be useless 12 hours later. Duhz!

Calvin
Not any Calvin, but the famous Calvin. See!

Was studying halfway when suddenly I thought of and noticed the close resemblance between Calvin and him. Miss Ng, you know who I'm referring right? See row 1 column 3 & 4, wah, 很像叻!Especially the hair... See the adult version of Calvin, totally clone one!

My alternative of me picturing him naked in the cutest way! Woah...
I actually giggled to myself looking at these comic strips!
Okie, kam wan liao. Need to tuck chek already. *Put my eyes back onto my notes.

To all women who have the irritating fat stomach problem despite having stick man figure
Do not drink cold water.
It's really not healthy. Remember the good old advice our mother gave when we first have our period: do not drink cold water if not your period will become heavier.
Turned out that our vagina is afraid of cold, hence whenever we drink cold water, the vagina will tell the brain: Sibeh cold down here, can send fats to me or not.
Hence, the accumulation of the irritating fats that stubbornly refused to go away despite doing 1000 sit ups everyday. They were sent down there to give warm to the V.
And drinking too much cold water or beverages will also cause very bad stomach cramps, I think it is a way of your vagina of complaining: stop giving me cold water.
I noticed I get very bad stomach cramps when I drink cold stuffs near my period, the worst when I downed some alcoholic drink last year during FOC nite. Hence, I limit my cold stuff input. And this is why keeping track of your period is so important, not just to check whether how delayed it was, or how safe it is for having sex. It is important to keep cold stuffs away from your diet during the pre-one week menstrual cycle.
While it is impossibly to keep our mouths away from those delicious cold desserts, limit it.

I've been up for 12 hours and I did no reading for my paper tomorrow. Damn power lor!

Helpful Guy
The Kaiwen guy who lost a lot of weight, was very helpful in my weight-loss regime although I have yet to start or erm... never start?
I only posted one comment on his blog:
"WOW! I am so inspired by your weight lost! Personally, I'm targeting 30kgs in 6 months because I'm afraid extreme weight lose might make my skin sag lah, LOL.
Oh my, you are my new found idol!"
and he came replying back, asking for my email and giving me questions so that he could answer and help me on my diet plan. A bit perplex, coz my comment up there didn't ask anything about his weight loss program. I just said I'm targeting myself to lose 30kgs in 6 months and I scared my skin will sag because of extreme weight loss like his.
Anyway, he so helpful, bo reason to reject mah.
So I replied.
Anyway, he was spot-on when he said I must be dropping hair because the food I ate lack nutritional value. So I decide to do something about it: Uncle, put more curry for me, thank ah!
Ha~~~
He said must exercise 3-5 hours to achieve result!!!! 3-5 hours??? How come he so free? He also further mentioned that exercise 30mins a day increase metabolism, and hence lose weight....
Orh~~~

The adventures of Diet Girl
I can't help it. I just kept finding more and more inspirations! Click! DietGirl
Diet Girl's before and after! Miss Size 16 should down to size 14, and will look as fatbulous (delibrate spelling error) as Diet Girl!

Lesson learnt from her blog: Never choose a date to lose weight! She lost half of her weight, wah...
Okie, I shall go jogging under with Mr. Sunny now... Eh, wait, I'm prone to getting dark spots (Did I mention before I just got 2 new ones? One each on my arm, sianz...)
Shall have a rendezvous night with Mr. Moon then.

Wah...
I know my blog has recently morphed into a box where I stashed my new found weight-loss/fat issues articles/group/people. Eh, the idea is stuck in my head, so I sourced around. Anyway... some (articles/blogs) I happened to tumbled upon one.
Turned out it is not just me, is the world.
Quote from BM's blog: "France recently passed a bill to outlaw the promotion of anorexia". Those French, called anorexia and bulimia romantically as ana and mia.
From KennySia's blog, and then to his blog plug, I found this piece of news: Size 16 Beauty Queen. Click: 1 and 2. And I'm having a serious issue with what this HSK person said. But first, let me talk about this size 16 beauty queen.

I think she need to tone up some more, especially her thighs. There are still too many flabs, and she looked huge (okie, she's huge because she's very tall) . I'm not bias against her, why should I, she definitely belong to my circle lor! But then, as a beauty queen, which I really don't know what's wrong with the ang-moh judges, or worse, those people allowing her to pass the preliminary, she just doesn't look good enough, not with her features, she's pretty but is her body. I don't mean she must be skinny, what I mean is she needs to really work out some areas, and maybe 5 more kgs off the scale. But then, I think she said she will be toning up for the Miss England. Woah!
Wah size 16 also can be beauty queen, I also want, I'm size 14! And I'm not ugly!!! =D But I'm a hobbit, =( Her stomach is flatter than me siah! Double sad...
Somehow I think she got lucky because now the world is trying to change the perspective of a healthy body, so she won because she's not skinny, but not obese, on top of a pretty face. They need an ambassador mah.
Back to this HSK person, I was so totally angry with what he/she wrote about size 16 queen, quote from her blog: "okay i mean i am all for women with curves and all that and i do find it disgusting when someone is so skinny they no longer have boobs but there is NO WAY that she is considered healthy."
Beauty queen is healthy okay! A very thin person can be unhealthy too, I had this skinny senior who was down with flu all the time, because to maintain that skinny figure, she ate nothing but bread. Yes, while being fat actually makes more prone to illnesses like high blood pressure, diabetics, but it doesn't mean we are unhealthy, unless we didn't take care of ourselves.
Quote again: "i don't know why ang mo people are so keen to convince themselves that being fat is okay. it's NOT okay to be fat"
Since when being fat is okay in this world deluded with skinnies? The only issue here is whether they (the fat) thinks they are okay or not, and not the world. So if they decide to adhere to the world stupid standards, fine, but if they feel perfectly fine, who is this HSK to judge whether being fat is okay or not?
And for me, even if I lost my weight, I won't be just all skin and bones.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~||~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I slept a total of 15 hours, from 3pm to 6am this morning. Damn shiok siah! But then, my back ache so much that it spread to my torso, and I thought I got stomachache.
This is just more proof that my body is getting old, concuss after 2 days of improper sleep coz of my 2 papers which I study last minute. Last semester I could still do it for 4 days. This semester totally CMI after 2 days.
First thing after exam end: detox. Been eating a lot lately, haiz... screwed up body.
Turned out it is not just me, is the world.
Big is Gorgeous!
I thought I came to a spam site.
But after browsing through it, it was authentic. Finally, a place where I can feel at ease!
SHOUT: BIG IS GORGEOUS!!! The owner Sharmilah was first featured on the ST, and then the AsiaOne. Her support group is at AMK, so near!!!
I think there are more awarenesses to make Big people feel good about themselves, as compared to the past. Of course, I don't mean being fat is good, but then while we are already feeling like oil tanks ourselves, seriously, we don't need the fire from other people to make it worse. I remembered when I was in secondary, school, Mum, Jia and I were strolling back after a market trip. There was this uncle who went "tsk tsk tsk" at us and he stared at us like we were some circus freaks, so rude! So many girls had suffered from anorexia or bulimia because of having to live to the society's standard of healthy, which was actually, neh~~~ And not to mention the TAF-FAT club, which made my already very depressed mental to a new low height. I even had to give up my swimming to go for TAF sessions, stupid not? I could have be the new Jocelyn Yeo. Ha~~~
Obviously, I'm one who didn't really bother it much. But then, of course, I want to feel good and healthy also lah! But then... yah, you get the drift lah. Happy, I eat, not happy, I also eat. But at least my mind is healthy! Ha~~~
I so wanna take the salsa! Belly dance also can! Sharmilah lost 20kgs leh!
Me siao siao again lah. Ha...
Study study study...
It took me 2 papers to fire up my mood for study.
The last 2 papers gone case already...
Big & Beautiful
Finally, an online website that sell big size clothing and shoes: BAB
And from that website, I happened to link to this guy called Kaiwen who lost 25kgs in 35 days!
Why is it that guy can lose so much in a month? His female friend lost only 11 kgs in 3 months! What a huge gap! But then, 11 kgs in 3 months is actually very standard, which works out to 1kg per week. This should be the rate, maybe guys different since their body is made up of muscles mostly.
So then, I am so so so inspired! Coz been having thoughts on weight lost again (eh... it's on my agenda on year round though but never execute, :P). I always plan my weight lost program when I'm having exams, because this is the period which I ate my meals like no tomorrow. No binge though, but just ate more! My stomach can almost be used as table already. Ho Ho.
And I actually wanted to start a weight lost blog when I first start bloggin, but then again, no execution lah, although I started an empty one yesterday, so that I will keep record if I really start this weight lost thingy.
Is this a sign? This is a sign... It's time to hit my notes again.
Sidetrack a bit, wouldn't it be wonderful if we can lost 1 kg for every page read in the stupid notes? Me is siao. Ha!!! But then, my friends lost weight when stressed in exams, I am just the total opposite. Shucks...
Garang
I damn garang.
I'm going for my first exam with only less than a day preparation.
May my crapping skills shine in this paper.
Exam at 9am. Wish me luck!
Kopi no time to finish already.
**********UPDATE**********
I was late for 5 minutes, stupid clock, go so fast! And thank goodness it was just 5 minutes. Saw the same people sitting in front of me again. Always the same blue jacket.
Proof that I lost my talking when I'm in an uncomfortable environment. The person in front was a friend I knew and he was making small chat. I wanted to say, "每个semester都在看你的背影", I said as "每个semester都是同样的背景", while looking in front of me.
Damn 叻, very 叻. Coz my friend tot I was referring to the exam paper. -_-|||
What a lucky day!
I went to school, bus came when I reached bus stop.
I wanted to go canteen 2 mini mart, the bus which went there came at the time when I reached school bus stop.
And to be able to buy my favorite cereal which was so hard to find in NTUC in the poorly offered mini mart, double joy!
So, this goes to show my report and stimulation will be lucky too, right?
Conversing in languages we are familiar with
The Popular Bookshop lady was weird. I was at a queue waiting to pay for a marker when a PRC in front of me started querying the lady about some textbooks, in English. She replied to him in Mandarin and they conversed in Mandarin after that.
After like 5 mins, the PRC finally finished his questions on the edition problems and when the books were coming in blah blah. Being a nut in stationery section, I asked the lady to confirm that the double-pointed tip pen in my hand was indeed a marker, in Singlish, "这个是marker hor?"
"Yes, you want a double tip one right?" She replied, in the most perfect Engrish an auntie could articulate.
At that moment, I was thinking, how come she talk to me in English when I spoke Singlish and talk to that PRC in Mandarin when he was speaking in perfect English, albeit the sentence structure, not the pronunciation.
Over here, it was a well-known fact that the PRCs prided themselves for being able to speak English. A yaya-papaya not-a-SG-guy who had been travelling in China also slashed out this point during his HRM, in a not so good way and offended some PRCs in his class. Anyway, whenever a PRC speak English, I always have the tendency to speak in Mandarin, even to the professors. I remembered asking questions in Year 2 to a prof in Mandarin and he replied back in English although he was having problems with it, but he had to because he's an educator and we are in a school and subjects are taught in English (But they are some who communicate in Mandarin to fellow PRC students though). Not that because I couldn't understand their accents, which yes, sometimes were the cause of it, but it was because I prefer to speak Mandarin, and knowing their Mandarin is like the best among us, and I would take note of my pronunciations too. Talking to fellow Singaporeans by default is Singlish lah!
And so, while they were trying to fit into our society by speaking English, in formal situations, we talk to them in Mandarin? Clearly and subconsciously, I think there is a imaginary line that we divide between them and us. If I were a bit more immature, I probably thought they were trying to act high class, although they do thought speaking English made them any more high class, which actually averaged them to be just like normal Singaporean. My mum who was only secondary educated in Chinese could speak English too. Oh yah, she improved it the most when we had an Indo-maid. She chided the maid almost everyday in English, hence, this proved that you need to use languages often in order to learn.
Anyway, with all the PRCs flooding into our tiny island, this language problem had never seemed to surface out, or we are ignoring it? Some of my PRCs friends were totally converted and speaking Singlish now, with a Chinese accent though, which sounded very cute, I supposed youngsters adapt very quickly. It was the older batch of people, who came in straight to work here, definitely, I think they do have an issue with our deformed Mandarin and we with their CMI English.
Just that whenever we were slashing out our unhappiness with it, neither party was around.
