First day at work
Oh my my my... First day of work is usually dreadful and boring, and I made a perfect way to start my job.
As you all know, it was raining heavily yesterday, hence, road was pretty wet. Anyway, because I was pretty early, so I decided to walk to my company instead of taking the shuttle bus. Bad move, the shortcut was grass patch all the way, hence, I splashed mud all over my black shoes, and some on my pants. Best... I had to take 10 mins to wipe the mud, and another 10 mins to cool down coz beads of sweats fell down like yesterday rain. Thank goodness I put on minimal makeup which could be done without too.
Anyway, first day, nothing much to do, the proudest thing I did was that I only dozed off in the last 2 hours, and not in the morning. The server room is just right behind our room which has no windows either, so it was bloody cold, gotta bring the hardcore windbreaker tmr liao.
A new revelation of being "short-sighted"! One of my colleague is so tall that when I walked past him, I was thinking what was that and not who was that! My height was around at his torso level, or was I peering further down which lead me to think I am at his torso? Anyway, short (in height) sighted lah! He didn't look that tall when I was shaking his hands during the brief introduction!
And my body gave me a welcome party by having period on the bloody first day of work, stomach was in woe!!! No wonder been having a pauchy stomach these few days.
I have yet to upload tat tyco freak's beautiful mahjong seqence!

20082008
Auspicious day? Well, I hope it is coz I just signed my offer letter today. I must say the company is not too bad, coz they actually gave us $500 per year for our wellness, so now I can sign up for kickboxing, go for dental, dye my hair and all will be paid for. =)
P/S: I am uber swakoo, having worked in company with lousy benefits and extorting staff well-being, the wellness benefit seems like chicken feet to many Big Coy.

Announcement
I am starting my full-time job next week as service desk in a pharmaceutical company!
After going for the $2.7k job interview today, conducted by a handsome interviewer some more (which I totally regret not putting a skirt and some makeup), I think I prefer the $2.3k interview conducted last week by an ah-beng. And right after the interview, I called the $2.3k agent that I took the offer.
$2.7 got too much development work and I was given a tour of the team. When I saw the other colleagues, they were facing black screens with white letters!!! Wah lau, even when I use command prompt, I can still see icons lor! So to say, higher pay jobs come with higher responsibility. Furthermore, he asked if I took any business modules, which I had none, so to say, I think my chance of getting in is as much as getting a boyfriend.
Anyway... Is a one year contract... which will pass very soon and see how it goes bah... I had never had any luck with high paying job.

Why???
I am feeling a bit wee disgruntled and disoriented!
Firstly, on a happier note, I have got like 2 interviews tomorrow back to back and 3 pending job replies. Although I am not a Christian, but somehow I think working in a christian kindergarten actually had the Lord help me in this rather troubled situation: i.e me worried being jobless.
Out of the 10+ resumes I sent, 3 replied and another 2 who had saw my resume deposited at their company website. So this week, I am busy busy busy answering phone calls and replying emails. And it made me wonder, am I over busy with all these job offers? Hence, the disorientation, coz I dunno what to do except to attend the job interviews and pre-screening. Oh yah, my fren had also jioed me to cover up her job, the one who managed the NATAS MC promotion. Job luck??? Tough luck...
Disgruntled because most companies quoted my expected salary is a bit wee high, and my threshold was like $500 below a degree grad expected pay leh... not that I deserve that high pay lah, but was what they said affect me. Well, I do understand that those jobs min. requirement was diploma, hence, the low cut-off... and which in turn lead me to thinking, WHY THE HELL I CAN' T A PROPER DEGREE HOLDER JOB?
Baa... I should be contented, the pay is almost twice more than my first pay and with 2 mths bonuses compared to the lousy shit previously.
I am weird, I was desperate for a job, and now with so many offers, I kinda want to give up 1 or 2 of them. Trying for the interviews are tiring!!!

Slap my big bad mouth
Sometimes, concern becomes ugly when it is not being sent through the right channel. Was reading cousin's blog and there was a statement requesting not to spread what she wrote on her blog. Then it leaded me into thinking what I had told her Mum what I had read from her blog.
I seriously think it was me and I do blame my big fat mouth! Sorry! There won't be a next time!
Working in a kindergarten makes me kiddish and talkative. But then, it won't be for long, coz I decided to leave by this Friday and work on another temp job. As much as I will miss the kids there and my favorite Korean boy, :(
I just sent almost 10 resumes in the afternoon! Gosh! I prayed hard, really hard, that I will hit jackpot in one of them!

Free Phone! Free Movies! On Mobile!!!
Yeah! Yeah ! Yeah! I've been selected to use a trial service for a certain mobile company! Which means I get to use new phone!!!
Can't wait to get my hand on the phone!
Can't wait to get my hand on the phone!
Yeah right, more drama like that PLEASE...
I was feeling pretty turn-off on my first day of work because one of the teachers commented I looked very out-of-uni age, sibeh sibeh sianz, coz for a moment I tot she wanted to say I looked less than 20! =(
The unfortunate event caused me to be even more paranoid about my haggard looks lor!
Probably for the first time in my life, I was being tackled by a guy! A very supposed flattering action, but the person made it very unfortunate for me. While girls my age were being asked for telephone numbers by hunks, I was given his telephone number by a pot-bellied man whose old enough to be my father!
Uber sianz lor...
Hence, the death of my shopping mood. Which in a way was a good thing, coz it prevented me from further expenditure...
Haiz... Why do I always encounter weird things!
He passed me the number on a piece of tear-off flyer, see pic:
Ironically, the back says:
Brrr... BTW, feel free to contact that guy if you are interested in him! =)
Gwee and Ng had a good laugh over it when I showed them the paper, they guffawed even more loudly when I nonchalantly threw the paper away after they had seen! Ha... The outing today was fantabulous! We shall have more, okie!!!

NATAS 2008
Phew, was so busy at the NATAS fair, so crazy lor, so many people and becoz MC was the main sponsor, there was $1 rebate for adminssion, and because they were automatic enrolled for the Oversea Reward, so we MC promotors had to ask the customers 1 by 1 for their phone numbers and write it on a card size paper, so that they could pass it to the cashiers, very very stupid and waste of paper lah! shld just give them a form to write when they purchased the tix mah! Many people tot they must have the paper to get $1 off tix admission, coz ont the paper was printed "$1 admission ticket", very misleading lor. The paper was meant for the cashiers and they surely knew what the number on the was meant for, don't get it why they bother to waste ink and print that line.
I was responsible for this redemption card thingy, and because the flyer printed first 600 (to redeem the card) would receive the a goodie bag, but it was not stated properly that only certain bank customers (4 banks partcipated) would be entitled to it, hence, the query of the day was, "How to get this goodie bag har?"
And to redeem this card was such a lengthy process, and 2 of these banks did not publicize at all lor, so the other question of the day "How to redeem this card har?" then I need to spend 10 mins explaining the process. 钱难赚叻!
Luckily, I had 2 chio bus to work with me and so many queries were directed to them coz I am such a plain Jane that it's no wonder many don't see me... Poor thing la they, coz I am suppose to be the customer enquiry, but as we all know, Singaporeans don't read signboards one lah!
Was fun to work at the NATAS coz firstly the chio bus were fun to be, secondly, we had fun time jokeing about customers who tried to tackle them, thirdly, we had friendly neighbours (the 2 bank booths whose customers knew about the redemption thing). The only guy among our redemption booths tried to tackle one of my partner chio bu, and his colleagues and us had fun poking fun at him! Wah ha ha ha. This chio bu very hot in demand lor, one travel agency promotor also had looked at her the whole day, and then got the chance to talk to her (tackle her) when she was on her way to toilet. BUt she taichi away by asking if he wanted to work part time (he did some self intro and we got to know he was doin g temp and waiting to go uni) and he played along, funny leh!
But very shagged lah, slept less than 5 hrs per day. And when I tot I could sleep more on Monday, I was woken by a phone call at 8.30am! To go to work somemore! No interview, no pre-screening! It was a temp job at a kindergarden, and before I could get to know and make friends with the teachers, I was making friends with Mr. Dettol, coz I was washing the toys, due to HFMD. Damn scary lor, 4 cases in one day leh! We all busy cleaning... People whom I have told about my day at work all joked that the job suit me well, since I like cleaning so much.
Anyway, I ended at about 4.30pm where I went to AMKhub to go shop shop, I was in a very good mood until something really unfortunate happened to me and I lost the mood to shop.
It's really very sianz lor... Blog it next time! Late already.
