2 months on, I lost almost 1/3 of the thickness by dropping almost 100 strands daily, after 2 weeks that's 2000 strands! May not seem a lot compared to the 100000 we have, but it's kinda visible...
I could see my scalp very clearly now and it kinda scares me! So I did a little research and I realised it could be a combination of wrong diet + lack of sleep + too much alcohol.
So for the whole year, or at least monitor for 3 months, I'm going to do the following and observe for any good results in growing my hair back:
- Cut down of caffeine and salt. I've been taking coffee daily and drinking those MSG soups in food centres
- Exercise regularly. Not too difficult since I'm already am.
- Sleep at least 8 hrs per day. Which means I have to KO by 10pm! Wow, this really left me with 1-2 hr of exercise only.
- Eat more protein. Woohoo, chicken salad anyone?
- Do oil treatment on hair at least once a week
- Avoid hair drying, combing wet hair or de-tangling unnecessary.
- Trim hair at least once every 3 months
The vitamins and supplements neede for healthy and thick hair are insane!
- Vitamin B-complex - 50 mg. of the major B-vitamins (including folate, biotin and inositol)
- Vitamin B-6 - 50 mg. of vitamin B-6
- Vitamin C with bioflavonoids - one to two grams daily
- Vitamin E - 400 to 800 IU daily
- Beta-Carotene - 10,000 to 15,000 IU of beta-carotene daily
- One recommended daily dose of magnesium, sulfur, zinc
- Silica (horsetail) - 300 mg. daily
- Nettle - 250 mg. three times daily
- Flaxseed oil - one tbsp daily or one tablet
- Beta-Carotene - 10,000 to 15,000 IU of beta-carotene daily
See updates 3 months later! Attached pictures for proof later... Even a messy parting, my scalp is shown super clear! I find the thickness of the parting too thick! It wasn't used to be this way!
Patience...
