Simplism

Got a feedback right after my last post. This is supposed to be a post note, but it turn out so long and I decided to make it an entry.
Someone commented my entry makes me sound very ignorant and I don't deny. I am indeed ignorant on these stuffs, and I bet half the Singapore population is too. It's no secret that the young adults is SG is oblivious to the politics. This is just a blog, which I wrote plainly for enjoyment, to record down my thoughts also, then maybe few decades later when I read back, I will thought to myself, "Wah Kao, how naive I am!". Making my vote invalid is a joke, the PAP is King and OP is advisor system is also just a fantasy. If everything is so simple, there won't be a difference between simple and difficult also. Anyway, divulging your choice of vote is an offence, :P
She joked to me to take down this entry before people laugh till death. Laugh till death because of my ignorance? (At first I tot she meant my entry was funny, :( obviously she tot otherwise) She just makes me ponder a very old issue: Should I write stuffs to let people think this is ''me"? Or should I write entries based on "me"? Contradicting? I thought so too. If my last entry really let people think I am ignorant, so be it. I don't and won't write stuffs to let people think I'm "deep". Shallow, so be it.
Like I mentioned before, Singapore is a very small country, so the election is nothing much to see, the election and voting is a game everywhere else play that's all. It's already such a small piece of cake, yet so many people fighting to grab the last small crumb. I may not have studied socialism, communism, capitaism, but that does not mean I do not understand, I chose not to associate them. These are complex thoughts created by people who were ambitous. If I am one, I will create stupism and simplism, so people who study them are simple and stupid followers, :D
The real world is already very complicated, I don't want my world to be as complicated as the real. Maybe that is also why I find it hard to fit sometimes. Hey, being simple also means I takes things easily, so cannot fit in straight, nair mind, I turn 45 degrees and fit! LOL.
My way of thoughts are simple, I do not like to think things way beyond, coz I think like this will make my life difficult. One good example of how simple I think. A friend and I were stucked on this question yesterday, upon discussion, I told her I used the formula found, that is A=BC. She told me she was struggling until she recalled this equation, dA/dx = dB/dy x C. It mean the same thing actually. Am I brighter coz I seek an easier way out or she's smarter coz she can remembered such a tough equation? There's no way to judge right? It's a question of flexibility. Another good example, Roomie aim for Distinctions, I aim for Cs and Ds, who will be happier in the end? Being ambitious is good, too ambituous is no good, but how ambitious is ambitious? Contradiciting again? So how people judge me, I don't care, I know who I am and what I want is enough. No point trying to fit into another standard, coz we all have different length of rulers.
Learn to embrace simplism.
In summary: I promote simplism. Election is a complicated game which I can't judge who is better. I am a simple-minded girl, full stop.
P/s: Too young and can't vote for your district? Nair mind, you can vote here :) But I think you rather don't vote. Hee hee

Exercise my rights

Alright, people, after all the 风风雨雨, storm here thunder there, the election is coming on 6th May 2006. Surprisingly, the calm and peaceful Yishun is actually up for grabs. To be truthful, I don't know who are the contenders other than PAP. PZ's district is also contending, at least she she who the contenders are. So long story short, I will be voting on 6 May 2006. When I knew this, a chill run down my spine, coz this is my first general election vote leh, 我的一票是神圣的!! The last voting exercise I remembered was my parents choosing the President, the year Ong Teng Cheong got elected. How? I hate it, my exam finished on 5 May and then 6 May you want me to make such important decision again. I think I shall make my vote invalid, ha ha. I remembered voting for my hall's committee and my vote was invalid cox I put tick instead of cross, shall do likewise. Ha ha.
Actually ar, why must we have elections? Even the national song also tell us "One people One Nation One Singapore" liao. Singapore is such a small country, no need so many parties, one PAP and one Opposition is enough. People complained feedbacked the PAP are all 上等人, never live in flats before, but you can't deny they have good brains lah. You see, the new PAP members ar, 不是马世德(Masters), 就是杜特乐 (Doctorate), if not COE CEO of some AAA company. So good until I go WAH!!!! However, having a good brain is not good enough, you must understand what heartlanders really need. It's just like a designing a gizmo, only after people use it, then people will think good or bad, so designer must understand what people really wants, then design. You want to know what we need, stay in Yishun lah. Visit us every 5 years no use one. I remember the ex MP for my district, try to 入乡随俗 and address every man Uncle and every woman Auntie, including my then not yet 20 year old sister. Excuse me ar, not everyone can be address as Uncle or Auntie one hor, it's an art which only heartlanders know to use it correctly (Digress). So the Opposition is mostly made up of all the average people you that lives in heartlands.
But then again, PAP already run Singapore very well, everywhere is so organized. So if PAP is King, Opposition can be the Advisor lor. Right?
你, 须投票吗?

It's official, my name is changed to Chew Sin Dai Ee

Sounds weird? Coz it stands for 粗心大意, sometimes I really overestimated my level of intelligience and memory. Ha ha ha...
Today's paper is understandable and manageble, at least can pass lah. However, as usual, I overlooked some small details and this led to huge erroneously applied understanding, and assuming it was correct somemore. Anyway, its over and I shall work hard for the last 2 papers.
I must act deaf after every paper, so that I will not know the correct answer and still thinks my answer is right! Ha ha ha....
Talking about deaf, I think i am going to be soon, the acne just finished ploughing field in my right ear and they it had moved over to my left ear constructing buildings. 痛死我了!I think till death do us part this misery!
Haiz, 2 more 2 more! Just 2 more!

霸王别姬: SG version

I found this blog through Kenny Sia's. It's a story about 2 young boys, age 17. Obviously, coming out of the closet must have made their life haywire, but these 2 boys are taking in their strides. I respect them from head to toe. Their blogs basically revolves their daily activities and there are some repetition, coz each boy will write a seperate entry and they were so eager to share with people their lifes. A lot of anti gay voices, which I personally feel that, these pea brainers ought to wake up. These 2 boys are just in love, just like a normal couple will do, anything wrong with that? Learn to accept, and not despise, who are we to despise and look down on them just because they are gay? So you look down on Elton John also lah, whose gay btw. Anyway, their blog are not for those who cannot tahan those sweet sweet love, coz they are indeed spreading their love for each other in such a sweet way that some people might find it gross. I personally thought both of them, especially Kero's writing is very entertaining. I was giggling at some funny parts. From their blog, you will understand that they are just having a pure love relationship, just that both are boys that's all.
P/S: I just been told the sex goddess cum UN ambasaddor is bisexual, so are those anti gay and anti lesbians gonna boycott her movies?

Evil Exams

They made me fat: I've gained 3kgs!
They made me old: Eye bags, fine lines, rough skin.
They made me cranky: I rather play games than study
They made me have mood-swings: Study and weeping
They made me have nervous breakdown: Trembling in the exam hall
I need shopping therapy, beauty therapy, slimming therapy and chocolate therapy, who want to sponsor?

One DONKEY is here...

Today is possibly the day my school fee was most worth, coz I had a private 1-1 session with my tutor. No... I did not went to find him in his office, it was because no one came for the tutorial except one sucker, eh... that would be yours sincerely. Seriously, I thought the tutor had cancelled the class without my knowing, since I skipped last week. While I was waiting alone in the icy cold tutorial room, people keep popping in, hoping to get the whole room by themselves so that they could revise, but would left when they saw me, except for one bugger, but he left when my tutor came. Anyway, all the lifts in our block broke down, and he was panting like an old dog when he came into the room.
Anyway, it was great to have a 1-1 session, seems that Harvard and Cambridge use this system also. The best about this 1-1 was I can ask anything without feeling stupid, unlike when you are in a class full of other students like you, you can't help but feeling stupid if you were to ask questions. Hor?
I was very very happy, because of the 1-1 and I actually knew how to solve some of my tutorial questions, but my heart dropped when I went to collect my lab report, I got a D! Aren't those post grad students supposed to be more lenient than professors? This chio postgrad must have got very high marking my report, coz I see BIG RED CROSS on almost every paragraph. Last semester, the postgrad was more lenient, he gave me a B despite I did not do my conclusion. Sianz... One expectation dropped.
Going back home tmr, and this could be possibly my last entry before exam le. Laptop will be resting till... maybe 2nd last paper.... that is on 2 May.

I'm a meanie....

Roomie was rehearsing her "speech" for her presentation on Friday. As usual, other than being a nitty-gritty about the language and grammar, I spot her group's project loophole:
  1. Where did they find time to cycle (bicycle tires experiment) 3500km? As stated, they maintain a speed of 25km/h, so I calculated and found out that it would take 140+ hrs, and was around 5.8 days (divided by 24hr). She told me that the only 2 guys took one week to do the experiment.
  2. They "hala" that 20 candidates did the experiment, weighing 50kg - 70kg. Since they only wanted to compare between 2 brands of tires, why the need for 20 people? They should keep a constant for the weight range, and 2 people would be enough to test the 2 tires

Why didn't I display such attention to my own schoolwork?

I never borrow $$$ from Ma Ma...

Was msning with Jia just now, and we were talking about the Progress package, so somehow we talked about earning money, and I was telling her I am poor etc... Then she said:

JacQ<*sigh* Y I dun have Progress Package???> says:
the other day min min ask me to tell u
JacQ<*sigh* Y I dun have Progress Package???> says:
"can u dun anyhow spent $$$.... dun kep borrow $$$ from mum can?"
JacQ<*sigh* Y I dun have Progress Package???> says:
Ha ha ha ha

I think Jamie has a very very very wrong impression of me... Mum should stop asking her to pass me my allowance.

Monday test, enough said. :(

Today is April's Fool, only played a joke on 1 friend oni... Still waiting for the right moment to tell her the magic sentence.

Ding! Ding! Ring! Ring!

Today's astro presentation, I only got one conclusion, that is damn funny! Why? Coz all of us machiam in XXX Idol for audition, if you are lousy, then Judge will "Ding" the bell and you have to stop, except that Prof "Ding" us for over time. Each group only had 10 minutes, so divide by no. of people in your group, example, my group 5, so each speaker had 2 minutes to speak, and any unused will be "carry forward" for the next speaker. Everytime the Prof "Ding", the people inthe Lt will just laugh coz the atmosphere was really funny and those speakers also paiseh. There was this guy, he didn'ty care and try to finish, and Prof was "Ding Ding" the bell like an angry Judge who was desperately to "Ding" the lousy contestant away. I left the lecture right after my group's presentation. I was the last speaker and I thought my conclusion was hilarious. We were doing a topic of comparing 2 telescopes, and in a haste (coz can go back very excited), I said, "No matter old or new telescope, both are 2 good telescopes taht help us to know more about the universe." I was suppose to say the new complement the old, dunno why ended like black and white cats.
And YES! I got my Nokia 7360 le, but I got the coffee brown instead of the warm amber coz they dun have stocks le. The blue and brown match looks nice also... :) Just that the warm amber is more feminine and has the flower engraving, the coffee brown had leaves pattern and seems like is to attract guys to buy, like couple match. I love my phone, my first camera phone leh.

天才与白痴仅一线之差

This entry was supposed to be written last year when I was blog crazy, but I think I got busy with exams preparation and forgot about it. Today, it resurfaced when I was refering to past year tutorials for solutions when I saw a footnote I wrote: "天才 doesn't know what is equivalent sign, very duhz!" It was a note to remind me what to blog, coz I was rather bewildered that this guy whom I thought quite smart didn't know what was the equivalent sign and asked the Prof, it was and = sign with ~ on top. Coincidentally, this 天才 was my teammate in one of my projects. Today, he asked a question which almost threw everyone onto the floor. Miss L told us to submit an assignment via email, and this 天才 asked some questions on how to do, like format, procedures etc. So Miss L casually mentioned this assignment was actually more like a copy-n-paste thing from the given info, but it takes time to "write" the organisation. Immediately, he asked, "Oh! You mean we have to submit hard copy?"
She grasped my arm and started foaming.
No lah, but she did grasp my arm (coz I suay suay sat between them) and exclaimed, "Siqi, please wake him up! He is getting impossible! Aiyoh!"
Solid proof that smart people also have their dumb times. Is he too smart to understand common sense?

I'm in LOVE...

Yes, I'm in love, at a wrong time, but I just can't help it, it was love at 1st sight. Now, I think of "him" day and night when I'm supposed to mug for exams, but my mind is just all about "him". "He" used to be just a dream, a fantasy, but soon, it's going to be a reality, and then I could and touch, feel and sense "him".
Well, to all those curious minds, let me introduce "him":

The handsome Nokia 7360!!! I'm planning to get it this Friday. All thanks to the $65 voucher, else it's totally out of my budget. I almost screamed and hyperventilated when I checked out the price, $168 with 2 years contract, minus $65, minus $10 trade-in, I can buy!!!!! OH! The thought of having this excited me so much, wah! Can't wait for Friday to come sooner!

Laughing laughing laughing

Ha ha ha ha, today was a ha-ha day, really laugh a lot.
This morning, KCQ was telling us that her tutor mentioned about a news heading this morning about a student complaining lecturers did not give tutorial solutions or whatever shit lah, and we were debating whether it was that asshole protester. So our conversation linked to lecturers who could not speak or taught well. And I thought KCQ was spouting vulgarity when she said, "And that XX lecturer only know how to say "懒觉话",I was immediately stunned. I went to interrogating and asked her, "Do you have to use that word?" "What word?" She asked. "You said "懒觉". "Choy, I didn't use that word, I was saying he only know how to say "冷笑话 "
Paiseh, ears need some cleaning.
That asshole protester famous liao loh! Have not read the news yet, not sure what happen to him.

饱到要吐,恶到想死

My blog title read "Eat until too full, disgusted till death". Why? Coz I got a freaking baby cockroach in my udon during dinner, I tot it was seaweed until I saw legs and feelers. Argh!!! Went to show the cashier ladies the culprit, and they got me a new bowl. Thus, now I am so full coz I ate 1.5 bowls of udon, plus the teriyaki chicken. Think it will last me till 2am... (I had early dinner, 5pm) -_-" Goosebumps still run down my spine when I tot of the roach, *Vomit*
Got myself some chocolates to calm my nerves. :P
Annoucement, I will stop blogging from till exam turbulence is over on 5th May, meanwhile from now till maybe 10 April, will blog when blue moon appears. Good luck to everyone having exams and work hard, don't count on luck! LOL.
SOTD:
Last Sunday, I was snuggling against Jamie on my mum's bed. Being an inquisitive kid, she asked why were my dark rings under my eyes so dark. Obviously was without enough sleep since exams were coming. "You look like polar bear leh!"... Polar Bear? Yeh, I know you know what was my reaction hor.
Why I cannot upload pictures in Blogger?? Time to get a flickr?

Disgusting Truth

Today's astronomy lesson is non-compulsory (anyway lectures in uni are not mandatory also), but I attended to "check it out" any interesting topics for the presenation. While chit chatting with one of my team mates for this module, she told me that she had initially thought the Indian in our group was female, until she went to see his pic in a school's site. Pic, what pic? Can check meh? I thought. Upon asking, turned out that everyone's photo is accessible from the school's site. Who the hell thought of this? Seems like we can check it in the modules registered. Damn... To think I always hide my matric card coz I think it's very ugly (Poly's photo was worse), so...it can be seen by everyone. Luckily, I had took the precaution to take a "nice" photo for matriculation, but it's pretty useless coz the school's scanner machine screwed up one, pretty becomes ugly, handsome also become disgusting lah. So you wanna check out the cute guy in this particular module group? Go there and you can see his face being distorted. I couldn't upload pictures in Blogger, so cannot show you all how distorted my face become, mu ha ha ha.
Anyway, it was pretty fun to check my friends' photo, some of them looked like the got "The Dog" photographer, big head, small neck de... LOL.
Oh yah, I shot an "inspired mail" to that silly guy, see below:
hey, i got ur "protest" mail in NTU, I am so bloody inspired by you, that you take your own initiative to speak up, to challenge the school. You are my idol. I'm not that daring enough, thus I contact you thru this annoymous mail.

CAN YOU PLEASE STOP SPAMMING! Not happy go to other Uni! You want speak good english profs, go to UK, US or other "good english speaking" countries, the chance that you see another cheena prof speaking lousy english, I think it's pretty high.

You are already violating the *toot* rule by spamming the whole of *toot*, you ought to look for a proper channel to release your unhappiness. Spamming everyone is not a wise choice, coz you have made urself the joke of the school. A scholar who is initiating protest, ha ha. I think either you study too much, therefore brain has gone mad or you are so smart that you don't have to study, thus the free time to do all these things.

You are creating so much inconvenience to everyone with your mails, with so much formatting, it took a very long time to download. Seriously, rank *toot*very lousy meh? I suppose you had came from neighbouring country, since you said you are a scholar and I don't think local scholars are so free to do these. if you are finding fault with *toot*, go back to where you are!

No one bothers about this at this crucial time, study for ur exams, or go and do volunteer work. I think the ah peks and ah mas would love to have someone to entertain them. Clown!
He only replied "my sincere apologies". Asshole!

We are such a bunch meanies :P

Today's presentation went fairly well, being the 1st group to present, nobody else was in the right mood to throw questions at us, since most of them were busy preparing their speech. Therefore, the groups behind us were quite poor things, especially the last few groups, were in constant bombardment by me and another teammate. We did not mean to be mean, but the questions just popped inside my head, so I asked lor, anyway, if they can answer, good mah. Hor hor... can showed spontaneity.
Anyway, my group (minus leader) went makan and chit chat, and we chatted about this guy from another engineering course, who spam the whole undergraduatess email, wanna "stage" protest, with regards to fees' hike, lecturers who can't speak proper english and some other matters. Mind you, he is a scholar and many of us think he must have studied too much or he is so damnsmart that he did not have to do revision, thus the free time to do such thing. THIS COULD BE VERY SERIOUS!!!!!
As if one email wasn't enough, he had to send 3 mails! Bloody hell, his email was formatted so much that it takes a long time to load, and the explorer was hanged for a moment. And I was in an urgent hurry to write an email...
Anyway, I doubt anyone will be interested to join his protest, coz exams coming, where got time? To stage protest, also must apply license from police, where got such time for this? Deal with exams first bah, duhz...

Of dose of caffein and doze of sleep

Time to blog, hand itchy, although I'm supposed to do presentation slides, hee hee hee
Had a lot of serious thoughts the past few days, wanna blog about it but I forgot le, so nair mind, I blog it when I remember. My memory selectively choose to remember useless things as usual, like why ku ku is call ku ku.
These few days damn busy with tech comm report, finally its over! Submitted last friday at 5.30pm, thought can finallly concnetrate on study, shit, I still have 2 more reports, lab and astronomy. Die die die... hope today can clear, one more quiz before exams, have to study hard for that loh....
Dr. Chan came to my school to give an astro talk on "Dark Matter" last tuesday, it was so nice to see him after so long. He looks more tired than he was during poly. But the few of us had a good chat with him, and it nice to hear him chat about "going against the norm". June Astro retreat again, anyone going? My school's astro club is organizing one too, not too sure if I can make it. Will try and ask for more details... Oh, passport expiring soon, I better renew it after exams.
Okie, I remembered what I wanna blog le.
Since P2, dozing off is class is my forte. It was this one "accident" that I dozed off, and since on, I purposely get myself to doze off, coz I tot "Wah! I dozed off teacher also dunno, then I continue sleep lor". Even after I was kanna smacked on the head for dozing off, it was too late for me to kick this habit, I will still doze off. When I go to secondary school, it got worse, I was already addicted to coffee. Even with a daily dose, I will still sleep, without coffee, I'm a zombie. Serious! I can't think without coffee! Together with heavily involvement in military bandand and the hectic study sechdule (I was a lousy student, I had remedial class almost everyday), I almost breakdown, or so I thought at that time.
Then I went to poly, determined to work hard and not to doze off again, but it was kinda hard, I would only try to keep awake during those strict lecturers' lesson, but it was a mild doze, not heavy doze. Then my friends around me knew this trait of mine, and I would always say I went fishing with Grandpa Zhou. I kicked my caffein addict during my last half year in poly, but actually I slept more coz I was on a supplement diet at that time, I was to drink a cup of milkshake every morning, thus no coffee. So when I go to school to do project, I sleep. I would sleep at almost every 2 hours or so, its a miracle I managed to finish my project. The miracle was I had a chin-chai supervisor and project mate. The project mate actually let me copy and paste, but of course, my integrity was not so low I copied and submitted, I copied with understanding.
After graduation, I went to work, somewhere near my school now, so it's damn far and working time damn early . I had breakfast time at 9am, and usually, I had either coffee, tea or milo. By this time, I was not addicted to caffein totally, that is I can think without caffein. So, more or less, it was good but I was addicted to afternoon nap. Luckily for me, I worked alone, and I could easily find a place to sleep, and the staffs there thought I'm busy. :P It was pretty sian-lang, but I did have my busy time. There was one period I worked so hard that my weight dropped to 72kg, the lightest I ever been since 13 years old (this age coz I offically stopped growing upwards)
Anyway, then I came to Uni full of hopes and dreams, and to my horror, it was so hard to realise my dreams. I have to work ten time harder than I was in poly, so it was much a nightmare for me. Last year, my 1st semester, I still went fishing occassionally with Grandpa Zhou, thus I did not grasp the content in lectures and I didn't do self revision. However, this semester,I feel like a whole new person, not only do I stopped fishing, I even managed to stay awake throughout the whole 3 hours of lecture. Of coz, by noon time, I CMI and would doze off again. So now, I will get some short nap, around 15 minutes before a lesson. It helps wondefully, especially during tutorial class, I will not miss any answers to the tutorial. There are times when I am super tired also lah, but so far, this semester, I felt more energectic. Now Roomie and I came up with secret terms for sleeping in class: Big fish (heavy doze ) or small fish (light doze).
Thus, when Dr. Chan came to give a talk, not only did I managed to stay awake, I even bloodyhell understand what he was teaching. This is no doubt something I am most proud of, coz being an avid fan of astro, this is the first time I understand something that I would think its CHEEM during poly. I actually understand the formula leh! (Plus the fact I am in engineering course, and the equations are the same as what I learnt for this semester)
I only learnt how to manage my sleep pattern to help me study effectively at the age of 22, which is pretty late. Sometimes, I wonder, if I had know how to manage my sleep, would I have done better? Would I have a better understanding of everything? I was flipping my cousin's physic textbook the other day and I was thinking how trivial it was, just like how Profs think Uni stuffs are trivial, it's the same logic. I would not have this thought if I'm in poly. During poly where working part-time was a norm, people always asked why don't I be a tuition teacher, it pays well, especially secondary school. I told them because I don't like to teach kids, actually, I was not confident enough to teach them well, let alone primary school. However, giving tution has been crossing my mind lately, coz I think I can teach already.
No matter what addiction to kick, coffee and sleep, the addiction that I won't kick is chocolate! It's a food from heaven.
SOTD1: I was having breakfast with my family earlier, and Jamie asked what I want to drink. I answered, "Kopi lor". She marvellously retorted, "Why you always drink Kopi one, no wonder you are so short!" -_-" (Jia had told me a few months ago that caffein will suck the calcium, thus hindering bone growth in children, and therefore concluded why I am shorter than her, since I started daily caffein addiction when I was 9 years old.)
SOTD2: MSN conversation with Diyumi just now

Bitchiness

On Sunday, I was telling Jia how sacarstic and bitchy she could become when fine tune wrongly, and it seemed like I was more or less becoming like her. What she answered me was classic, "No lor, Lim Peh (my dad) is the ultimate Suaning King, we got this gene from him."
Never did I know the usually loud but hardly talk Daddy actually was so sacarstic. He had reprimanded her for her previous 2nd handphones. Next time must prepare myself before I talk to him, LOL.
Still rushing tech comm report, due this Friday. A guy getting a free ride in our team is doomed, coz I had reported him to my Prof, and it seems like we will have this peer evaluation form. He is chiam liao, I'm gonna make him repeat this module again. Sucker!

The Pianist

I am watching "The Pianist" now, I had thought it was going to be a boring show. It is slow, but it is not boring. This histroical film about the destruction of Jews is really heartbreaking, from 500, 000 Jews, they massacred to only 60, 000 only. Horrible Hitler! And that Adrien Brody, no wonder he got the Oscar, he was damn good, his acting really captivated my attention. One little short joke: The end of the movie quoted "A Roman Polanski Movie", I thought it was a movie done between the Romans and Polishs, hee hee, actually it was the director's name. :P
I had my Physics Quiz today, after 2 weeks of preparing. It wasn't thorough enough, but somehow I was able to attempt the questions and I'm actually proud of myself. Coz I actually feel that I will pass for this quiz, bleahz... My 2 previous quiz was studied on the day itself, and I knew I couldn't do the paper. Anyway, this Physics really set my mood momentum to swing for exam siah!
Yeah, vicious cyclone is coming back, and this time it will blow longer than last time, coz I have one more paper. So yah, update is gonna be very very slowwwwwwwwww.
Bought a 512 xD card, woah hoo! Now I can take 394 pictures, 5.0 MB resolution, and 12 minutes video. So cool!

Different Cultures

I was distributing invitations cards in 1 of the hall blocks just now. Usually, the guys are half naked on the top, and wear shorts below, and we girls also used to it, although sometimes the guys also very shy when we girls happen to bump into their section, and they will quickly hide into their rooms. The ang mohs, had totally different culture. They wear a T-shirt and brief only, full stop. I bumped into one just now, luckily, I was on the phone, so I pretended I didn't notice he was "shortless", and my eyes roamed somewhere else. Actually, his big, milky, fleshy thighs keep flashing back...
Today is a "suay" day, first I saw a guy's butt crack, and then this... Wah liew... This is more suay than walking under women's underwear!

My hair is not rebonded, but neither does it looks like anymore, =(

Ever since my last haircut, quite a number of people always asked if I rebonded my hair, and I always 暗爽 about it, but replied in a cool manner, "No lah, no money to rebond." The biggest 爽 came today when I went to trim my thick-like-lion's mane hair, the stylist asked, "Did you rebond ur hair or it is natural?" I had to suppress my excitement and replied nonchantly, "It's natural." Wah!!! Damn happy coz even a experienced stylist thought my hair is rebonded. Of coz, I also did think whether whether my hair was too dry and brittle to let him think it was badly rebond, but considering my hair wasn't that badly damaged except for those unsightly split ends, I concluded my hair was very straight lah. Maybe some might think what's so big deal, well it's big deal, coz I didn't pay money for any rebonding service and my hair looks like it was, hee hee. But I have to confess it only looks like rebonded hair after a hair wash lah.... and maybe after a few hours, the scalp gets oily and the hair gets heavy, you know... Anyway, my last haircut was done at Sandstorm (Jurong Point), by a senior stylist named Leon, I think he's good lah, I did review it that time.
But ALAS! The effect is gone, coz this stylist didn't have the skill Leon had and I had told him just to trim 1 inch off to make it same length as the side, coz I find my hair too layerized liao. So basically, my $8 haircut (I don't want $20 trim) wasn't as worth as Jamie who had almost 3 inches of hair cut off, same price. And 4 hours later, my hair was already twisting here and there. But this is not the saddest part, my head had this small tuft of hair popping out from my parting, double SAD!!!!! I had not visited this saloon since September or October last year, and therefore I totally forgot that they always cut until a small tuft appeared out of no where. Sianz... it will take at least 6 months for this tuft of hair to become long and heavy then it won't pop out. Argh.... think this will be the last time I visit this saloon liao.
3 months = 1 inch of hair, now the length is the same as December. I shall endure until July then cut hair!

Ku Ku in the head = dickhead?

I just had this realization. Do you ever scold someone who is crazy in hokkien, that is "Su Ku"? Then we short formed it to "Ku Ku", example: He's ku ku up in the head, heck care him. Did you noticed how we always scold men as dickhead? Somehow I think these 2 terms are cousins...
Something irrelevant. While having Statistic and Probability class, Prof set up this scenario: What is the probabilty of the gender of the next person coming into the lecture, if is male, P(x) = 1, if is female, P(x) = 2. Then some smart alec asked why male is the number 1 and female number 2? Prof gave a marvellous answer:
"It's not easy being No. 1, but being No. 2, can always replace No. 1."
How true!

How should we call it?

Recently, XX polytechnic was having a terrible headache over a particular female student's scandalous video. While everyone is focusing on that poor girl, I wonder, how come nobody is talking about the boyfriend, who, very likely was the one who suggested this freak idea, but had used the poor girl's phone? I had seen the video myself, and in the news article, it was said taken somewhere in the school's compound, please lor, I saw a wardrobe with a lot of men's clothings and obviously it was at the boyfriend's house. Yes... they were 100% naked, er hem... In case you all wonder why I wonder the guy is not getting attention in the media, well, both are leads and why is the female lead getting the attention (bad one) , must give some for the male lead mah, we are in a sort of equal status society, so must be fair mah! And personally, why should I be interested in the girl when I have everything she has, but she don't have what I have (my fats). So of course, I focus on the guy lah! LOl, joking joking.
Anyway, in a blog I read, he joked in a crude way that the boyfriend's "little brother" was just average, not very well-endowed, and that his is bigger blah blah blah. Obviously, no guy want to admit he had the smallest in the world one mah, and I think it was purely fictionous for entertainment only.
Okie, I've reached my main point in this entry. How many other terms can you come up with for this male anatomy, which we had lovingly name it, Penis. I search Thesaurus.com and I think this is the only word with no other official names but a lot of unoffical names:

What the fuckanana??? It's not offical meh?

I searched Dictionary.com for meaning:

Now, let's talk about some non-official terms. I think the first time I knew what that thing called, non-offically, was called ku ku jiao or ku ku bird, or di di. Then, I started to wonder, in what way does a penis resemble a bird? And why ku ku bird, and not chi chi or pi pi, not worm or snake or dragon, to make it sound more "high class"? Seriously, they should name it after the animals above, depending on the length, obviously. Experts always say size do not matter and that the average size of a penis is 3 inches (young boys?) and it's enough to satisfy women (shaking your head?). The world's longest record is 14 inches leh! So now, let me grade these men's "di-di":

3 inches-6 inches: Wormy, wriggly and itchy, you wish you could smack it to make it go (grow, lol)

7 inches - 9 inches: Snaky, looks frightening at first, but once you got used to it, it's no big deal at all

10 inches - 14 inches: Dragonly, it's rare and once you have it, eternal bliss.

LOL, I think can be a secret code for during "discussion".

Let's move to Western. When I started to learn to read properly, that was when I read word by word and not skim through them like the words are not there. I got to know the Ang Mohs like to call them dick or cock (Is this how ku ku bird originate from?) Seriously, Dick is suppose to be a human name, how did it end up and become a penis name? This guy friend of mine, he had this name Dick by birth, and he happily used it until P6 when all his guy friends started teasing him. Cock? This one really caught me scratching my head liao, exactly like my previous question mark, which part look like rooster? Or is it used to describe the size, as it is close to that of a rooster?

When I went to secondary school, I learnt more terms on the male anatomy. Lam Pa and Lan Jiao, 2 hot favourites among the bengs and lians. I remembered there was this sick riddle related to it. Diao (吊), refer to the male's private organ in Taiwan, a kind of vulgarity. I think they called it Diao because of the way it is there, you know, a piece of meat dangling. And yah, it was commonly linked to banana, hotdog and a rod and anything that's long.

No matter how they are called generally, I think "di-di" sounds better, coz there a touch of human to it.

High qualifications

In the old times, women were taught mainly for home economics, and not other things, for a woman's only duty was to look after the husband and children blah blah blah. Now, with the rise of female power, women not only get to study, the way women think changes too. Especially those feminist power, "What ever men can do, I can do better!" Eh, I used to think a little sideway to the feminist power, but not very "hardcore" lah, just that sometimes I think I am more gentlemen than those supposedly gentlemen. =_=Y
Anyway, I noticed a very interesting phenomenon in my previous polytechnic and current school. That is, those female doctors (Ph.d), mostly are single, i.e unmarried, attached or not I don't know. But in the traditional viewpoint, people might think they had studied too much, thus scare away their suitors bah... Eh, so far, I only knew about 4 female doctors, and out of the 4, only one seemed to be married (unconfirmed), the remaining 3, 2 seems to be quite young (as in they are around 30++), 1 maybe is young but dress like ah-ma.
Is it really destined for women who had high qualifications, to be single? One lousy example, the female doctor in the very famous Joo Chiat's dispute, also single right? Eh, why like that ar? (The Joo Chiat doctor's singlehood is understandable lah)I s it because of the male's ego? If the gf is too clever, the bf will lose face coz he will looks stupid? I thought he should be proud that he had such a clever gf right? I'm not saying girl-up, boy-down relation won't work out, but so far, only 1% or 2% of the people I knew managed such kind of relationships. An as a outsider, sometimes I can't control and thought to myself, "Eh, why she choose him?" But such things are hard to say, maybe the bf will work hard for gf's sake bah... The cases around me, their education difference is from a small margin to big gap, so itr's hard to discern also.
Back to female doctors, if getting a Ph.d means they are above common people, it's no wonder that guys are put off. Coz 90% of the guys will mostly "scan" on the outside. Dumb? Never mind, she thinks he clever good enough. The cleverest lady is one who acts dumb but actually controls her boy and he thinks he controls her. This is also "Ph.d"- "Pretending His DumbBelle".
Just wrote this entry out of boredom coz I ate a heavy lunch and doesn't feel like doing my maths.

A whole new level of understanding...

I had never like reading very much, especially English Literature, it just never get into my head, and weirdly, I appreciate Chinese Novels more (not those classic like Red Chamber, it's a slumber spell).
Recently, I started picking story books in my very old cupboard, I re-read on "Of Mice and Men" and "The wonderful story of Henry Sugar". I had never read Henry Sugar before, it was the movie "Catch me if you can " that compelled me to read coz Jia was telling me the stories are somewhat similar. I had just finished "Of Mice and Men", 10 minutes ago, and therefore I am in a very bewildered mood writing this: coz I realised my comprehension in secondary school sucks big time! I only fully understand the whole story, the intentions of the characters and the twist in the story. When I was 16, I thought George killed Lennie so that Lennie would not be harmed by the guys after him. And just now, I realised George had killed him with a motive! George had stolen Carl's gun, and made it like Lennie had stole it, and he had killed Lennie coz he had to protect himself. The intention to free Lennie's misery as a dumb was there, together with all his frustrations. After finishing the book, I had this serious Literature Shock! Now I know why my Lit sucks during secondary school, for my level of understanding was like a primary school kid.
Somehow, I think I am experiencing these LS could be due to change in mentality, that is thinking somehwat like an adult bah... or maybe I am such a late bloomer that I am basically think like a 16 year old which I should be 6 years ago? (Damn, I was Sec. 4 six years ago? That's like so long ago!!!)
Did a weekly weigh-in, still the same, after loo trip somemore, before was like 1 kg heavier? I really ought to stop munching on the CNY goodies.

Happy V-Day!

What a day to spend my day: Rush proposal till 3am last night, woke up at 7am to go library and search for hard copy reference. Edit some more parts of proposal, try to print but failed coz the machine could not read my card and it kept giving me runtime error. Rush to another building to print, then rush to bookstore to buy file. Rush for lesson, already in malfunction mode due to sleep deprive. Ate brunch and then went to academic office to help LL submit her withdrawl letter, realised a shorter route (actually should be less tiring route) to go to the office. Went to pc laband enjoy aircon, until it's too cold and sleep for 15 mins on the bench. Attend a scary tutorial, treat myself to Beef Fantastic meal, and then proceed to nap for 4 hours.
Even when I'm in school, I'm not spared from getting flower-natic. Holy Pig! Flowers, bears, chocolates, heart shape balloons, could be seen everywhere! Wah Liew... Anyway, a typicsl boring day.
Happy Valentine's Day to all people!

Moths...

A dead moth gave me a big shock just now. I wasn't wearing my specs, and while putting my Dynamo back in the racks outside, I thought I saw a wrapper, so I thought of clearing it away. After picking it up, I saw it was brown and I thought it was a leaf, after 0.05s, sensing the texture was not right, and at that point, I saw the head and I dropped it immediately and eewed loudly.
Later Roomie confessed that she had put it on my shoebox and not on the floor feared that people would step on it. She had thought it was alive and wanna let it fly away. Little did she knew that it was a faux and the moth was actually motionless. However, I had picked the moth from the floor, and not from the shoebox, so I cracked this joke about the moth must have been really alive, but the odour of my stinky shoes was so overpowering that the moth fainted, and thus dropped the floor, causing its death. LOL, anyway, we were quite boliao also, to think we could laugh over a moth for almost 5 minutes!
Anyway, my hostel is heavily infested with bugs, so I'm kinda used to it. I just have some scary and silly thoughts that these "unwelcome guests" would rest on me while I'm in deep slumber. Yee... kinda grossed out at the thought of it. Pui! Yucks!
I was reading an article from Reader's Digest, and it was about a man who was deeply passionate on moth photography. He was mesmerized one day when a moth landed on his projecter and on the white screen, he could see vivid and colourful fur prints. From there, he started to hold exhibition, where he would enlarge the photos on these moths. It was so huge that one could even see the furry wings. Yes, moths have fur. I was very surprised too. Those people who visited his exhibition, could not resist and touch the photosfor they don't believe that the print was taken on a moth. Without description, one would have thought it was leopard print.
Nature is so fascinating, isn't it?
Enough on these arty-farty moths. I was quite pissed off with Mr. H, a very good buddy I knew online, no, not the guy who fixed the PC, it's the guy who cannot do simple simultaneous equations. Since last Friday, I had started to clip my fringe back coz it was rather irritating to keep brushing them back during lesson. So today, I met him for a movie and dinner (no, it wasn't those kind of romantic date, more of a buddy outing). The moment he saw me, he critisized that my outfit was auntie, I retorted back that my image was like this since the day he knew me. Later he commented my hair was very auntie, and again I defended by saying that "better than looking like shaggy dog". I almost feel like whacking him when he said my face looked rounder! Argh... last straw! I warned him to stop all his nonsense else I would be angry. Yeah, he stopped for 5 minutes and continued to "suan" me in the theatre. =_=lll But niar mind, I got my revenge soon coz he was critisizing that my phone wallpaper was childish, I shoot back, claiming it's better than his MSN pic, who was a very chio Korean chick but also a chao ah-gua, and that he had no QC for chio bus. Idiotic dickhead.
I swore I shall never treat him like a guy again, treat him like a dumb-dumb.

Busy Busy Busy

A very busy week, coz busy with exercise, busy with hall, busy with schoolwork and projects, and busy with neopets. Ha ha... Anyway... today is Saturday, shall relax and buck up for monday's test! Think I going back tonight to hall... I only know how to watch tv and use PC at home niah, so must chop chop go hostel and study.
Weighed myself last night, before I started munching on crackers, new year goodies, and a cup of milo at 1am, I was 76kg. Update next week, if there's any losses. Hee hee.
V-day coming, hiaz... I used to have PZ to be my "lesbian" partner, now she got herself a "playboy", duhz... I'm so lonely... Roomie said, V-day going to coop herself in the hostel, think I'm going to join her. Wah ha ha ha....
Sometimes I really don't understand, it seems like if u have no dates on V-day, very loserish. I never used to think like that, until one fine V-day, you see all the couples on the road with roses, wah sia, you really don't feel normal. No wonder Roomie said she want to stay in hall.
I think I better set up something for myself to do, if not very loserish. That is, study, wash clothes, and play games on Tuesday. LOL.

That's it man! I'm gonna night jogging every Mon, Wed and Fri, after cooling down, do 2 sets of crunches, 15 each and try Dip (spelt this way? It's like push up the other way round), maybe 3 sets of 5. And with my kickboxing session on Saturday, I doubt that I can't even lose 5kg - 6kg, deadline last day of June (allowance for exam period). I am serious this time!!! I'm going to be TAF (Trim & Fit)! Shall weigh myself every Saturday to monitor my progress! 我这次来真的,我要减肥!!!This is just a small step to my big goal! LH, thanks for being my jogging kaki!!! I don't hope, I must lose the 5 kg!!! The downside of night jogging: I am hungry, very hungry, *stomach growls*

Birthday Elephants

I received a 2 birthday cards this year, one was from LH, the other was from SH and HL. All 3 of them were my secondary classmates and they had shared presents for my 16th birthday. I must say, they still have the 默契 (mutual thoughts) despite so many years. Look at the cards they gave me:

LH's on the left, SH's and HL's on the right

Okie pple, I caught your hint. I am trying very hard to lose weight now lah... =(

(I know it's just a coincidence that both chose elephants, no real under meanings, =], so relax lah, I'm not really bothered by elephants, but next time got buy pig pig lah, ha ha ha ha)

Is Jia alright?

Those who know Jia Jia, do you all ever read her blog? I think she is having split personalities, she sometimes guest blog on her own blog as Jamie, sure it is funny, but I'm worried that she is going crazy coz she spent too much time with Jamie, that she starts to think she is Jamie? I think Jamie did too many blunders that Jia buay tahan, that she wished she is Jamie so that she won't do so many mistakes. Is it? =P
P/S: This is writing in corresponds to "Jamie's" blog, =D.

Running effort kanna flush down into toilet

After the 3 rounds of effort yesterday, all went down to the toilet bowl today. Why? Coz my after dinner "snacks" were very highly poisonous in calories.
Summary:
Breakfast @8am: 2 Apollo brand chocolate cakes
Brunch @10am: 1 teh ni, and tom yam yong tau foo, with bee hoon
Dinner @ 6.30pm: 1 Time-out chocolate, 1 duck kuay teow & mee, 1 walnut brownie (belated birthday cake slice, courtesy of Roomie & KCQ, finished 40% only)
Supper @ 10pm: n slices of egg sandwiches, n sotong balls, 1 prata kosong, 1 satay, 1 chocolate mini pie, 1 fish fillet, 2 cups of green tea, 1 mini chocolate bar.
See, whatever I ate today complement the calories I burn yesterday. And to think I tried to keep away from rice, makes no difference since I ate kinda a lot for supper. Niah mind, this coming saturday I have kickboxing class, shall use my 100% energy!
The cake slice was really a surprise, Roomie was still trying to lure me to go toilet with KCQ, but it happened that my water intake for today wasn't high and there was no urgency, so in the end she "went" while KY (KCQ) and me we went to the mart located at the cafe to buy some stuffs. And I really gong gong believed them altho they were whispering very obviously behind my back. Being the KPO, I kept asking KY what did they whisper, and she replied "Bad things about you lor!". Ha ha, anyway, I wasn't sensitive enough to suspect anything altho I suspected a little while I was in the mart, but I just attributed it as fantasizing that they would surprise me lah. And I really never expected it during dinner. I am grateful, coz it's almost 1 week since my birthday. I had learned to appreciate kindness and thoughtfulness, and I almost felt that it was my broadcasting (on how I spent my birthday) that made them obligated to have a mini celebration. I am so paiseh and touched. They also bought me a Chachos, asking my preference between cheese or BBQ flavour. I choose cheese coz I like. I really thought KY bought it for her "ration". A gazillion thanks to those who gave me presents, I really appreciate the thoughts behind it.
Such an irony, I went to bed feeling hungry last night. Today, is sleeping with a full stomach. Thinking whether to go jogging tmr or not... My face is so nice to squeeze now, haiz... Double Chins are back here on visit again, must get rid of them!!!

I am very happy...

It felt really good to sweat it out-went to jog at the stadium, and I managed to run 3 rounds, which is equivalent to 1.2km. No stopping at all, well, I must say I'm pretty amazed by myself that after 6 months of inactivity, 3 rounds are quite a feat. Almost wanna stop at 2, luckily, my running partner LH pushed me on. Thanks LH!
And today, I received my first present from her for this year (not counting the thingS I buy for myself, *chuckles). Such a sweet and thoughful lady, I merely said that her shawl looked very nice, and she bought one for me as birthday gift. I am really very touched. It is a brownish beige colour shawl, very nice and quality is damn good. Now I'm feeling very ashamed, I could not remember when was the last time I give her a present, I think it was just some birthday sms. I did not even send her a sms last year! Haiz... shame on me... :( This year must return favour, so tell me what you want, k? =D Eh... Like that like not sincere, never mind, I treat u some day! =D
Just realised I still owe a lot of people birthday gifts, and money for a sec fren's shared present. Die... I shall ask them out while it's still CNY mood, if not later everyone will be busy with tests and exams liao... including me. =(
BTW, I also very buay hiao byte and broadcast to some frens my birthday, hee hee, coz I like people to know it's my birthday and wished me. Never mind presents, those are bonus, a simple wish I very happy liao. Like Flower wished me a belated birthday, although there was no surprise, but still, I am happy.
I better go and sleep liao, my stomach is growling. Lights out!

新年快乐!万事如意!心想事成!学业进步!祝我生日快乐!

Another 1 hour 45 minutes more, we will be welcoming Mr. Diligent Dog and send away Miss Chic Chicken, and I will be officially 22 years old! Yesh!!! Haiz...
So, a year into adulthood, well, I don't find my life changes much, or maybe a little in my appearance. Ever since I entered the pool of 21 year old , I tried to wear clothes that suit my age, and makes me look like my age. I'm controlling very hard not to buy those cute T-shirts, especially from 37 degrees, giordano "me" series and anything that makes me 15 years old or less. For a start, I try to wear more polo t-shirts, which makes me more or less mature, or so I thought, this attempt failed when my friend said why am I looking so gheena (childish in hokkien). Okie, I shall put makeup, but I find this task a little bit arduous coz, firstly, I'm not a morning person, my reactions in the morning are 50% slower than usual. I need to bath, change clothes, even if I pack my bag the night before, I only have time to put toner only, let alone basic foundation. I still have my breakfast to think about. Wake up earlier? Nah... Sacrifice my sleep over powder is definitely not a SQ thing I will do. So I really take my hat off to those girls who actually wear makeup to school. Secondly, who cares how I look like in school anyway? No boyfriend also, no need to look so nice, but I ever have one, I will definitely want to look nice for him, but not now. A guy friend of mine once asked me, "Why be the grass when you can choose to be the flower? Be a flower and you can attract attention mah!" Well, I want, but I'm lazy lah, so dressing up is really only on special occasion like wedding dinner, and maybe friends gathering, where I will try to utilize my makeup set.
Anyway, for now, I think is good that I looked younger than my real age in school now coz I can act cute without having to feel disgusted when hanging out with people who are younger than me, but I try to be serious when I'm with my classmates, who basically are 75% males, poly grads and finished their NS. So, while those '84 guys thought I'm '86, I think some tend to assume authority over us girls sometimes, you know, 倚老卖老. But I don't find this an issue in my class, where everyone is suppose to be mature. I'm not saying that those '86 are childish, but judging from age, we always think that we are older, so we are more mature. It's just like in primary school, when we are Pri. 1, we always think those Pri. 2 seniors have a lot more authority than us. Maybe I am the only one who thinks like that bah... am I?
Now, as a 22 year old individual, I realised I am taking a lot of responsibilities, maybe not as much as my sis, who is a lot more mature than me. Like I mentioned before, my mentality is 18 years old sometimes, ha ha, which explains the act cute. But one thing I know that I am a full grown adult and no longer a young adult, is that I no longer follow the "sit-on-the-floor" culture, i.e. on mrt, in malls, anywhere there's floor that looks hygenically enough to sit.
Anyway, no celebration for my birthday this year coz everyone is celebrating CNY, sounds a bit sad hor, but never, I still have next year! As for the surprise party I wish to see from my group of good frens, I realised if I expect it, then is not a surprise anymore, right? Therefore, I am apologetic that I had been such a stupid idoit expecting that from you people, if you do read my blog, sorry to Flower, YQ, Blur Queen and Milk Tea. I had sorted out my thoughts, and my resolutions for my birthday are: expect less, give more, be generous and helpful, no comparison of anythings, be truthful, stop being a mean mouth, keep my mouth shut at appropriate times, be hardworking, be disciplined, shall not be easily influenced, stay firm to my own stand, and be nice to everyone, but no compromise.
Anyway, today is a busy day, coz have to clean a lot of things in the house and prepare food for tomorrow's relatives' stomachs. Wanna look pretty and nice for my birthday tomorrow, although not going anywhere except godparents's house which is 2 bus stops away, I painted my nails with the recently bought nail polish and nail art stickers. But a really "WTF" happened, that is the enamel peeled off on 1 finger, in an attempt to redo, I had to remove the whole whole paint off, but I'm not a skillful artist that the alcohol cotton had actually tainted my other nails, fed up, I removed all 10 polish off my nails. Now, I'm also very tempted to remove all the polish off my toenails coz some were chipped off just after a few hours, shit... So much for trying to be vain. Redo later. :D
Halfway through my blogging, my mum told me about her accident when she was 16 which almost cost her life, which almost left her infertile. My sis knew this when she was around 10, amd I only knew it now. It was kind of astonishing to know this, that I almost wasn't born into this world. While I was feeling so perturbed, my "veli good sister" had to remind me that she had listened umpteen times, and the reason why I didn't know was I spent far too less time with Mum. Haiz... now I want to stay at home but I was given to "drcree" to stay at hostel instead so that I will not watch too muich tv. And while she saying how got a hunch buy 4D from the combination of my birthdate and age, she told me she knew my dad at 21, got married at 23, gave brith to me at 25. Eh, according to lunar calculation, I am 24 already, and not yet hitched. Sianz...
*15 more minutes to CNY 2006 and welcome my 1st annivesary of adulthood. :D

Astro gathering

We had an ex-astro hardcore members gathering just now, and of all, the main organiser actually overslept and missed this happy event. While she mass-smsed us to inform us that she wasn't coming, we tot we teased her by bombarding her back with smses at the same time, with exasperated comments like, "Wah Liew", "Tamade", "Wah Biangz" and all those cussing when people got pissed, you know? It is just a tiny joke, so no hard feeling hor, :). I had an even worse punishment for her, ha ha, that is to let her see the pics of the gathering. But alas! My digital camera was memoryless, i.e. there was not storage card! So we had used Rachel's phone to take pictures, but she got so hungry that she forgot to take pics of some other people. Ha ha, anyway, till I get the pics!
Little update for you, Long hair no longer wears oversize T-shirts and he wore his favourite colour, PURPLE (the joke, rememebr?), so dashing leh! Wah ha ha ha. Xiao B looks very feminine, HX looks way too mature with her hair and dressing leh, I find. Rachel had longer hair, and still as tone as before. Big eyes finally know how to cycle, Good Heart still as gheena. :D Update finished!
Looked at myself in the mirror, realised I looked like I'm 5 months pregnant, with that buldging belly. I cannot even see my waistline, only lumpy flesh and creases. Shit, I seriously have to start sweating and tone my muscles. With CNY coming, I think I will reach the peak weight again, wah!!! Thank god, I found a jogging and kickboxing partner, that should kick some fats away. I'm very eager to see myself in a toner shape siah, I'm so sick of my wieght fluctuates and my body inflate and deflate like a balloon.
Some friends commented that I do not looked like I'm 75kg, when I told them, they said I looked more like 65kg. Er... I'm am very bewildered, coz when I see myself, I think I am very "disgusting", with jelly arms that look almost like a baby, 2 tires around my waist, everything is so round, I seriously cannot imagine myself when I was at my heaviest, 85kg, I think I looked very very alike to a bulldog. I am so filled with fats that my eyelids drooped down and formed a layer below leh, and I could curl my eyelashes with just a few squints. Gross...
Been eating quite much these few days, which explain my 5 months belly. I have 4 days to squeeze them so that I can fit into my skirt. Erm... 3 days, today very tired, shall take a rest. Yawnz...
It's going to be hell in school after CNY, maybe I will shed more pounds due to stress. Hmm...

A letter to the Rat

I wanna sleep, but after reading your story, I had some much to say. As an engineer in training, I'm trained to get the massages across using the fastest way, in this case, in point forms, so I will not digress too much.
  • 1st of all, I'm SORRY that I have been insensitive again to your sensitive topic
  • 2ndly, based on my judgement, what I comment was truthful, I do not give patronising comments, especially to my friends.
  • 3rdly, you should learn to be more confident of yourself, even though there are times I do have low esteems as well, but that's because I know where are my limits. Learn to accept comments gracefully, what's so paronoid about comments on your figure? You look very nice now.
  • 4th, stop thinking about the past, and for God's sake, do not try to escape from reality! Mouths are theirs, but ears are yours, you can choose to ignore what they said.
  • 5th, if you care so much about what they say, prove them wrong!
  • 6th, any comments about your figure from me is harmless, I'm not those jealous girls who wanna make you feel bad. What for when I am fatter than you, bigger size than you, of course you looked slim to me, especially when you are wearing size M, and I'm size XL. Duhz... see the diff? One size is about 5-10kg diff, so I know how much you weigh even if do not know yourself.
  • 7th, I have been trying to lose weight since 7 years old, so don't try to argue that "Oh, you also lost weight what..." and blah blah blah to counter-attack my comments about your size, I know where is my ideal weight and YOURS too. I'm a weight-loss guru, a lousy one tho.
  • 8th, you dare to dress up, you dare to speak up, but why don't you dare to see the real you? YOU ARE INDEED NOT VERY FAT WHAT!!!
  • 9th, stop dwelling in the past! (this is to REMIND you again!)
  • 10th, I hate to point this out, but FYI, mice means more than 1 mouse, you use the wrong word, dear. BTW, I would have prefer Piggy Pink.

Okie, good night... ZZZzzzZZZ *drools*

P/S: I will stop commenting about your figure! :( , (>_<)

Knowing what we want

I read Jia's post on her birthday, glad that she had such a wonderful birthday memories, and I am very glad that she liked what I buy for her, coz I think this is this is the first time I buy something without her knowledge and she liked it somemore. I used to buy things she didn't like or, I had asked her.
Recently, I've been having dreams about having a birthday celebration, and the people were Flower they all. It seems like I am really hoping that they will throw a surprise party for me, coz Flower had already asked when is my birthday and it's like less than 2 weeks, yet I don't hear anything from them. Maybe the more I yearn for, the more it won't fufil bah. It has always been like that, whatever I wanted the things to turn out, it will become otherwise. The previous entries about my birthdays were blog out of impluse, but yet it was what I was really hoping for. But after thinking, I realised why should I expect them to this just because they had asked me for my birthday and I had participated in the previous bashes? Does that mean I had joined so that I hope they will do the same to me? Doesn't that makes me insincere in celebrating their birthdays? Then I might as well use the money to spend on myself right? Or maybe I expect a return because I gave so much for my friends...
Before this, I gave treats coz I knew I would receive presents, never mind if the presents cost lower than the amout of what I treated, I just love the feeling of receiving presents and connecting with my friends during party. Slowly, as we started to have class birthday parties, I started to compare the prices. Irritating as I find myself doing this, I can't help it for I realise I am giving more than I received. Grr... I don't wish to compare either, but sometimes just can't help wondering why the rest had such nice treatment while mine is like shabby? I really hate myself to think like that.
Therefore, I want to remind myself with this entry, that I shall not compare presents anymore, I shall not compromise myself to attend a birthday party which I do not want to go just to hope for a return favour, I shall not expect things from people, anymore. It's better to get the things I want myself.

3 guys and a lady

Imagine this scenario: 3 guys and a girl were being grouped together for an assignment discussion, which after that one of them had to go out and write the outome of their discussions. The gal had contributed a sentence, while the guys were still discussing. Who do u think will be sent out to write? The girl, why? Coz birds of the same feather flew together.
I was being sabotaged this morning during a tutorial, just because I merely said one sentence. Maybe it wasn't really a sabo, but still, didn't feel too good to write my answer on the board. Last time when I was working, during a training session, I was also sabotaged by the guys to do the writing. Duhz... Anyway, supposed to do a project with these 3 guys, now I had jumped over to another group, all guys too, but at least I know 2 of them from my past tutorials.
This is so sickening, just when I want to do my laundry, it rains. Kaoz... But then, now weather is so cooling, it's best for nap, but I washed my bedsheet. It rain at the wrong time lah...

This teach me not to be a silly dumb dumb

So paiseh!!! Today, KCQ and I chilled at a bench outside lecture hall, trying to do tutorials. Sensing that both of us were going to dreamland, I offered to buy coffee for both of us. KCQ wanted to give me 55 cents coz she thought I would buy the lids for the cup, but I haolian to her that my skills very good, could carry the cups up from B4 to B1 without spill and thus saved the 5 cents. So off I went to buy the drinks. Seriously, there is lift in school mah, so 3 levels sure no problem, no spill I thought. With a cup in each hand, I walked steadily to the lift, a lot of people, but nair mind, I thought, I just be the last one to go in lor. Wrong move, at B3, an asshole came in and stood beside me. Shit, later people wanted to move their asses out how? So I was concentrating on the 2 cups, which the aroma was tempting everyone in the lift. When we reached B2, that asshole... He was getting out of the lift, but I don't know how he had bumped into me, shit!!! A little coffee spilled out and happened to hit on the girl next to me, so paiseh!!! I kept apologizing to her, and I could sense the smirks and laughters and sneer from the people behind me. Grr... my tactic would have been perfect if I had took the lift alone, which I wanted to, but because I saw there was still a space for me and a guy whom I had a little crush was inside too :P :P, so I squeezed in. Duhz... should have trust my instinct. I got off at B1 and complained to KCQ about that idoit. However, KCQ was more concerned whether I scalded my hand or not coz the coffee looked hot, steam coming out... and it dawned on me that the people in the lift just now might be thinking the same thing, so I guessed I was a bit oversensitive due to the embarassment that I thought they were sneering at me for being a stingy (to save 5 cents and not buy the lid). Anyway, this taught me not to be a smart ass next time. Kaoz... that stupid asshole, walked also dunno how to walked properly. Grr...

Horoscopes

I was cleaning my house today, coz after one month, dust is building up, and I have not clean my TV console yet. Anyway, after a nap, I went to read newspaper and my chinese hororscope says, "把家里打扫一番, 让它和你一样清新可人,运气更佳。" (Badly translated: Clean your house like is as fresh as you, better luck will come.)So freaky conincidental hor! Then then, I went to check on my english horoscope, it says, "Lately, I have been not be very punctual. I better stop this bad habit before people starts to have bad impression of me. Lucky colour: Green (Green again!) Lucky item: Items made from silver". I was particular about the green thing, realised how often I was mentioning green these few days?
Suppose to do tutorials, but at home, I just don't have the motivation leh.. I am only motivated to clean my house niah... Anyway, this CNY I did not make any lanterns (I usually started one month before), a bit weird... Think I make simple simple one next week. Ha ha... So muct come home again. Wanted to stay in hostel and clean my room, but seems like I shall do that after CNY liao... At first we thought we wont't be celebrating CNY coz of grandma's death, but now we can, dunno whythe sudden change. Anyway, CNY is the only time I will become a super duper vainpot and buy all sorts of clthings which I might not even wear, LOL. Must change must change... must learn to wear those clothes, if not buy liao wasteful hor... hee hee... :P

Deja Vu

I was very embarrassed yesterday, for I fainted during lab lesson. Yah I know, this is something we can't control, but still, it was so awkward when I returned to class later and continued my lab. It was only the 1st lab and I think I scared my partner off. LOL. Anyway, I felt that studying in Uni is just like returning back to secondary school: failing subjects, can't make out what the teachers were teaching, self study also like half bucket, friends were all smarter than me, I'm the worst of the worst etc... :( As if it wasn't coincidental enough, the last time I fainted was in secondary school, and during a lab too!!!! Oh man, this is freaky... It is just like a repeat cycle of my secondary school life.
As for the reason why I fainted, could be because breakfast wasn't enough (only 2 oreo biscuits) , then when we were told to crowd around the table to see demo, plus the bad air circulation, I suddenly felt nauseous, dizzy, everything was spinning and I kept yawning to gasp for oxygen, then my whole body just went limp. I flopped on the bench, and before I could hold myself, I blacked out and thumped on the table. But I thought I still heard my prof speaking some lab details, before she came to ask me how am I. Wah, I must say I was quite impressed with myself that I was still conscious and told her I need some fresh air that's all... Where got people faint and yet still tell people what to do de har? Anyway, when she and another guy helped me out of the lab, They put me near the wall railing (and luckily I did not lean over the railing if not you won't be reading this entry), and both went back to the lab to get a chair for me... My body was still weak and I just limp on the floor. When they came back with a chair, they just to pull me onto it, but I was just so weak that I could not get up. And that guy who helped the prof was saying how my face did not have any blood colour, which I thought he meant I looked pale. After a few minutes, I felt better and went to washroom to wash my face, I thought I was seeing things: my face was green.. YIKES! I am so greeny these few days.... LOL.
Anyway, later in the evening, I was able to go shopping with my "twin", so I think I had fainted could be due to busy with the IH, did not get enough sleep for a few days, plus on thurs I had went to sleep on an empty stomach (had early dinner and by the time I went to sleep at 2.30am, stomach was growling and I did not eat my biscuits which I had intended to), that's why I was weak. I'm not kind to faint easily. Anyway, Twin scolded me for not taking care of myself.... :P So touched...
When I was relating the story to Jia, she asked if anyone asked about me. I replied only my lab partner and prof asked. Then she exclaimed, "Aiyer, how come other people never bother one?" I told her a very unrelated answer, "Lab more important mah, so they busy with their lab lor."
Anyway, as I write this, it dawned on me that it doesn't take much to ask how was I, so I think the people were rather very cool. But, not that they are cold-blooded, but in our situation when every semester we will meet different people, we are just acquaintances which most prob next sem, we will act like we dunno each other. Worse than a hi-and-bye. True? Now I only nod head and say hi to people whom I talked more to them during last sem, so sad... I onlyhave like only 4 contacts from last year's tutorial group. So my point is, to many of us, we might not see each other anymore, so basically, we are just like strangers. Therefore, no one asked me how was I except my lab partner coz she suppose to be my partner for the lab, cannot act like nothing happened mah, and my prof, coz she's a "Biggest Shot" in the lab.
Just now was watching a super old-school Hong Kong movie, it was a modified version of Street Fighters. Wah lau, Aaron Kwok, Andy Lau, Jacky Cheung, Simon Yam, Ekin Cheng, all so young lor!!! But weirdly enough, I was glued to watching it despite being a 10 year old film (1993 production). I really admired Jia's wittiness, she said, "Can't believe that Jamie actually had the chance to watch a movie that we once watched when we were her age." So true hor! Anyway, we had fun dubbing "Ayogen!Ayogen!" when the bad Ryu was fighting with Broomhead (dunno his name), machiam like playing the game like that. Hee... hee... childhood memories.

Sis's big day is coming

Sis is turning 21 this Saturday, she hinted she wanted Sidney Sheldon's book, but I can't remember the name. How? Eh, you want nail polish mah? Cannot say no also coz I already buy liao. :P
My school had this charity bazaar and the stuffs came from Seiyu, they were so cheap!!!!! Alas, I could only look at them, coz their clothes sizes were too small, bags I have a lot, CD casings no use, shoe design so-so, bikini... don't dare to buy in front of so many schoolmates although they don't know me, pencil box design orhbeet, wallets no nice one, handbags too cheena and I had those too. So in the end, I got 2 box of Fasio nail polishs, which came in 2 per box, at a freaking price of $12.40! I had one which cost me $7 or $8 last time. Hee hee, I know I seldom do nail polish, but for a change mah, that old one so long liao, dunno spoil already or not. Hah... The 2 boxes of nail polishs' colour only have 2, pink and brown/gold, shiny and glitter kind. Hmm, just nice, Jia likes brown and I think the colour suits her also.
Talking about colours, recently, colour therapy is very popular. It use colours to fix ur mind like too stress, too gloomy etc. Recently, I seem to like this green (new bra and cardigan were of this colour), and I happened to read up a little on the colour therapy. It says, green represent life, meaning if you choose green or like green, you are accepting a new life into you or you are changing for a new life blah blah blah. Hmm... Where am I changed? Prettier (Ha Ha)? Or Mentally? Shall check up more... when I'm free.
Bump into an old secondary classmate in canteen today, wah, so damn excited! Meeting her for lunch next Thursday. We exchanged some words and she said I changed a lot, I replied, "Where got? I still as cute as before..." Ha ha, I am so thick skinned. Think the lady behind me was trying not to puke, :P.

  6. Tutorials! I'm suppose to be hardworking and a library regular!
  7. Tech-Comm project and tutorials, it's all about self study and I seriously need some time management
  8. Home PC needs to be under observation, just newly set up and installed (no more virus please!) Mum complained Mahjong cannot play...
  9. My table is dusty...
  10. I need to iron my T-shirts, they have been creasy since last December! And wash my clothes and bedsheets, but it has been raining and I have no time!

What age do u act?

It's freaky, I was telling Jia a few weeks ago that I felt like an 18 years old sometimes, so it really is.
You Are 19 Years Old

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

I like this test, and I think the answer will differ to different color. LOL.

What Your Underwear Says About You

You like to think of yourself as innocent, even though you're not!

You're a closet exhibitionist who gets a thrill from being secretly naughty.

Beautiful Sunday

I sort of recalled some love stories, it would always start with "On a beautiful Sunday..." But today is not beautiful at all, it has been pouring rain since 5am, holy shit! Erm... maybe for those who loves rain, maybe it's beautiful to them.
Anyway, I met up with an old schoolmate of mine, upon counting, we had not seen each other for about 5 years, excluding the occasional bumps in Northpoint which happens once every 2 years or 3 (so the probability of bumping a friend living in the same area is that slim). It was really nice to catch up with him, talked about the past, got to know what happening to other classmates etc. I just realised, he wasn't what I thought in the past, I guessed it could be because in the past, I never really try to understand my friends. Hmm... I think I bloom rather late then. Friendship isn't as simple we had thought as we grow older. At my age, we already see things differently, during our conversation, we touched a lot on fufilling our goals, knowing what to do, what we want, and how unexpectedly life had turned out for us quite differently as compared to what we had thought when we were in secondary. In secondary, it was more or less a life journey starting, to what we want in life later. So people choose to go JC if they want to pursue a degree later, or people go poly if they felt that they are just not the study-type. We thought life was planned this way, JC must go Uni, die die no matter what, then people who went poly surely will be either working or study, which didn't occure to many of us. As we chatted, we realise many of us were not following the planned thing. Like those from 4/4 (the supposed best class in secondary), after JC, many of them went to pursue a diploma in therapy in NYP. As for my class, the combination we took at that time wasn't really meant to let us go JC, but for those who still went on to take A'level, few of them did not do as well, from what I heard from him. It seems that those who went poly ended better than them. I'm not trying to compare that going poly is better for those who can't make it, but more or less, sometimes it's not really good to work against the society's norm, but I think, everything just happen for a reason and there's no explanation. Most importantly, is how we will pass through these obstacles.
Just like I had expected him to go Uni, he rejected the offer and became a track and field coach instead. At least he knew what he is doing and doesn't feel that he is missing out anything. He felt that there was no need to have a degree as backup if he knew what he wanted to do and he will succeed. I "cursed" him even if he failed at least he would not regret, which immediately I added a "Touchwood! Touchwood!". I'm not belittling his potential and of course I do not want him to fail, I admire his faith, but I'm just not good in words and that was a good example on how I am bad in encouraging peopl, ha ha. What I mean is he had followed his dream, and if it turns out to be a bad dream after all, at least he had enjoyed what he likes.
It was still raining when I was supposed to go out, usually I would just cancel the appointment with my friends, but this time it was an exception coz firstly, we were meeting in our neighbourhood and secondly, it's been so long since we last met, very rude and insincere to cancel it just because of the rain. Mum was like discouraging me to go, but when she knew I was meeting a guy, she said, "Go lah! Go lah!". Come on, I'm only 22, is there such a hurry to get me attached? When I came back home, she asked where he lived. I replied XXX block number, very near us and she joked, "Good, next time walk there can liao." (She mean when the groom went to fetch the bride and return back, duhz!!!) Oh man! Just a normal guy fren and she think so much into it. Like what my horoscope says today, "有缘千里来相会, 无缘对面不相见, 随缘吧!"

It's friday!!!

Oh man... this is such a boring week... I am so used to doing nothing during the hols, suddenly I realised school work is eating up my time... argh!!!
Anyone heard of Be'lair? It is a partial network market, partial entrepreneur company. My ICQ friend, Jenny, was trying to rope me in. Sianz... I hate this, I was trying very hard to "taichi" her stances on me. Hmm... I am really skeptical over such MLM stuffs.
I am so bored now that I am watching 水浒传, and it's the story on the pretty and slutty Pan Jilian, honest but ugly Wu Da Lang, big built and dashing Wu Song and villian Ximen Qing. That Jilian is really a slut, she fantasize over Wu Song, she lust over Ximen Qing, gross. She was a virtuous wife, but when she saw Wu Song,wah.... become very slutty after that. On the pretext of making new clothes for Wu Song, she used her hand to measure his body, also "molesting" him at the same time, wah ha ha. She almost drooled when she saw his naked body, lol. Dunno why, I suddenly find this show very interesting.
For 2006, I had a new record, that is I actually wore skirts, and it is within 2 times in a week leh! When you since see me wear skirt so often har? LOL. But that day during gathering, as usual, Flower was telling me that "I should do this.. I should do that..." Why the I should? Shouldn't I be the one deciding what is best for myself? There she was telling me I should wear more sleeveless, put on more makeup, wear more skirts blah blah blah.. Hello! I am not a barbie doll hor, why should I dress like what you say? If I find sleeveless uncomfortable, why should I force myself to wear? I don't have such a big gut to show off my fat arms, I need things to hide my arms. And yah lah, relatives were patronising me how much I changed. Duhz... always asked the same old things.
I am somewhat disappointed with Flower. Remember I had an old entry on surprise birthdays? Flower had asked me when is my brithday. I am so sad, she did not bother to ask other people for it but asked me. I think I am hard to please, but how can I not to when we spend so much effort to find out someone else's birthday, then plan it, and celebrate. By asking me, really, I just feel that it's just another gathering lor, but just want to make it like "you see, we help u celebrate birthday leh, wu xim hor". No?

I am so sick

Sianz... today is the first day of school only and I'm down with sore throat, and this morning when I visited doctor, I was still fine except for the itchiness. Argh...no voice!
First week usually is very boring de, no tutorials, no labs, just lectures. I pon my repeat module today (actually I was late and I did not have my lecture notes with me) and went out with my friend to Jurong Point. Didn't get any ration for the week, coz NTUC long queue, very very long queue. Got one Prima Deli waffle for dinner only. Boring day...
My Chinese Horoscope said I'll be prone to illness in 2006, how true!
